Hey Scorch, thats good news, but is it good enough to keep you out of work for a while? We haven't had somebody out for an injury for a while here, we are about due. Glad its feeling better though. Good timing so you can just lay around and be served for thanksgiving and blame it on your knee.

Did he put you on any meds? Don't know if I read that above or not?

This is how my dr. worked with me. First meds. I hiked a few times and was fine. Then Jmitch lured me out to Penn for a hike. I could barely walk the 2 weeks after. Next step surgery on the left knee.

I had a little difficulty afterwards, but now everything feels good.

Scorch, be careful with the cortisone shot, they make you feel very much better but don't fix the problem, making it real easy to overdo things.

Agreed! I had a few of these back in high school. They just cover the damage.

The Dr who's treating my tendon problem actually refuses to give them. Kinda surprised me. I'm not really dissapointed or anything, but damn, if you're not gonna give cortisone shots at least prescribe some good pain meds or something. ;) All I get are lousy Bextras for swelling. (Actually bextra rocks! Everyone should have some in their first aid kits if they can get it!)

Ummm, last I checked vitamin I was a med, LOL!

I had prescription strength vitamin I over a year ago for a back injury. Equaled 4 regular pills. So, you can probably go up to 4 w/o a problem.

Scorch, not trying to scare you or anything but I went through the knee thing for over a year. My Dr. told me it was just tendonitis or bursitis or something minor. I continued playing hockey but usually had trouble getting around the mornings after. Playing hockey one night I fell and hit the boards, broke my femur in two places and found out I had a tumor inside the femur the whole time that had totally weakened the inside of the bone. Did the surgery and I am 110% now but it could have been bad. Again I am not trying to scare you and I hope that it isn't anything as serious but lay off of it until you know for sure.
