“well I had the best birthday anyone could ever want. in the morning twignut and myself went to the rehab center and hung out with all the critters. never held a snake before so holding the Boa was pretty darn scary. I love the pics of Samantha holding the snake. funny faces! getting to go into the cages and just sitting there and having the raccoons crawl on me was something I will never ever forget! sorry there are so many pics, but hope you enjoy them. http://community.webshots.com/album/221005723NOexIt then going to the station and watching treebeard doing what he loves the most, was the best way to end a great day sorry there are only three pics, my battiers died. http://community.webshots.com/album/221037427WyTVHi” 10:42:13 AM 11/22/04 “Raccoon: 60 pics Boa: 11 pics Iguana: 4 pics Treebeard: 1 pic Hmmmmmmm......” 10:59:17 AM 11/22/04 “ACK! You held a snake, oooooo, gross! =) Glad you had such a great Day Maple.” 10:59:42 AM 11/22/04 “Seeing snakes and raccoons in rehab is not that uncommon. Part of the withdrawal cycle. I use to see cockroaches crawling under my skin.....” 11:01:04 AM 11/22/04 “LOL, ol' tree now knows how he rates! ;-)” 11:01:15 AM 11/22/04 “The iguana was really cool. Actually, that little fat coon was pretty cute too. Treebeard? I guess I outlived my cutesiness!” 11:01:48 AM 11/22/04 “LOL @ bitpusher. sounds fabulous, Maple...glad you had a happy birthday! :-)” 11:01:53 AM 11/22/04 “I guess you just didn't buy her enough kayaks tree. Three hundred and twenty-eight is not all that many (for the Imelda Marcos of kayaks).” 11:04:05 AM 11/22/04 “the sad thing was, someone rescued a rabbit, only to have it give birth to 8 babies. 7 of them died and they put them in the freezer to feed the snake. at first it bothered me but it's part of nature” 11:06:03 AM 11/22/04 “You gotta learn to deal with that fact of life, Maple. Or else, you will be spending your days with a broken heart that never heals...” 11:07:02 AM 11/22/04 “oh I know that,. I got over it pretty quick. even twignut handled it pretty well. I was very suprised about that. she loved it so much she wants to train with me :)” 11:08:23 AM 11/22/04 “7 of them died and they put them in the freezer to feed the snake. at first it bothered me but it's part of nature Do they use the same freezer snakes use in the wilderness? On the one hand, I would expect them to so the snake feels at home. On the other hand, snake freezers are notoriously inefficient and I would hope the center would use something better.” 11:09:19 AM 11/22/04 “umm bear what the heck are you talking about?” 11:11:49 AM 11/22/04 “I'm asking about the freezer, was it a snake freezer or a regular human freezer?” 11:20:47 AM 11/22/04 “home freezer. what is a snake freezer?” 11:21:41 AM 11/22/04 “Not sure. Never been in a snakeden ![]() Shoot. http://www.miceonice.com/ last edited: 11/22/04 11:31:38 AM” 11:30:37 AM 11/22/04 “Did you guys talk about Artex around the fire? Be honest now!” 11:33:26 AM 11/22/04 “no. only because there was no camp fire...” 11:38:42 AM 11/22/04 “Kewl! Happy B'day. Doug” 11:40:07 AM 11/22/04 “LOL bear, mice on a stick? the other white meat? Yuck.” 11:21:28 AM 11/29/04 “the turtles were in the same tank as the gator, the flash on my camera made the color of the water wild looking.” 11:27:48 AM 11/29/04
