What can a person say to someone....
who has bared his soul in such a profound manner? Thank you, seems so base and meaningless. Yours is a trail that should never have to be traveled, and those that do, sometimes do so in a far less fashion than you.

I look at hiking as a metaphor of life. The struggles of the trail, sometimes get in the way of the enjoyment. Sometimes they overcome you and force one to turn about. It is also the same in life. Things happen that get in the way of the enjoyment and all light seems to fade into darkness. Your path is forever in front of you...go in peace and travel with all the heart that you can muster.

That is some powerful stuff! Thank you for sharing.

A good friend of mine took his life a few weeks ago. The pain will always be there. Remember the good times you had with your brother.

What a beautiful way to share your thoughts and memories of your brother. Some wounds never heal but they will fade with time. But may the good memories burn forever bright.
