I'm going for a PET scan in April, but never had one before. I always had MRI or CT scans so I'm assuming it's pretty much the same thing.”

“I remember you were, but with a negative PET scan I can't see how you would need it. Radiation isn't something you want unless you have to and it doesn't look like you'll have to deal with it and that's excellent news.”

“Great news, I think I had a couple of treatments after my negative CT scan, I did not have to have radiation. Had 6 months of chemo tho.
You'll cont to have scans done ever so often and the labs. I just had one a month ago and everything good. My oncologist says I can fire him if I stay good thru '07.

My Non Hodgkins was stage 3 when dx'd, so glad to escape the "bullet" so to speak. Glad to see another day, another hike.

My CT scan after 6 treatments showed "lumps". But they were unable to determine if they were active or inactive residual lumps ("scar tissue"). My tumors were quite large.

“Yikes!!! I saw Tammy Faye Baker on Larry King today, Monday. She now has a 4 grade cancer rating and King said a 3 grade was terminal.

It appears that her colon cancer spread to her lungs. I watched her for a while. She was crying a lot, but still putting on a good show of strength and hope and will power, but then it got to be too much to watch her be so sad.

I have to say, whatever I thought about her before, it's all changed. She's given strength to everyone who is terminal to fight the good fight and know that God is with you all the way.”

I've become a little superstitious.

We helped a friend move tonight. I also took a drag from a Cuban Cigar. Never had one before, how could I refuse?

Anyway. tomorrow is my LAST chemo. I mean today is my last chemo. I'll probably start treatment in less than 12 hours. The last few treatments have been rough, as expected. I've had maybe 2 out of 14 days between treatments were I've felt perfectly fine. Taint NO Cancer left so the chemo wreaks havoc on my healthy cells/tissue/organs. Oh #&%!$ing well. The difference between too much chemo and too little chemo is the difference between life & death.

#&%!$ cancer! I kicked its #&%!$ing ass! #&%!$ "remission"! That's defeatist. I'm done with Cancer. It's gone and it can kiss my ass! I will never see it again!

She kept me healthy. She made sure I ate 3 meals/day since this started back in November. Do you know how #&%!$ing difficult it is to feed someone with no appetite for 6 months? Taint no picnic. I wouldn't have eaten without her, I wouldn't have cared.

She took over everything and gave me one job: "To get better".

I might not be here if not for her. She put up with the worst I've ever given yet There's not a single day we didn't laugh.
