Embedded Banner Ads

“I know that ads are supposed to be the bane of all surfers but I gotta say Matt, the new Google banner ads built right into the posts are a stroke of genius! And the ads are relative to the post. One popped up in a post about chili36 having “Chili’s bar and grill” tattooed on his privates came up with a google banner for bars and grills. LOL! This could be really useful on gear threads. It beats the hell out of the flying suitcase type ads and if it helps support you all the better!”

“I'll reserve judgement until I see a few more instances, though my first reaction is not positive. However, the juxtaposition, as Nigal noted, may prove entertaining in some situations.”

“I don't find it bothersome because it's a nice thin banner and the color matches the background. No bright, blinking obnoxious ads.”

“That's true, Nigal. The full-motion banners are a pain. I just hope these inserts aren't too numerous.”
