“Pamela...for small parcels I've always found the post offices priority mail is the fastest...many catalog companies have switched to this from UPS for small parcels...I always pay the extra $.55 and get a confirmation sticker...that way, if it gets lost, there's a number to track it...”

“It's not only faster, if your package is less than 2# it's way less expensive. And now with those do-it -yourself kiosks it's quick too.

Nimblefoot, I suggest you pick the nuts out. Or maybe use them to fatten up your Christmas squirrel, or MarkO. And you could always just hold your nose while you eat them.”

“I just used the kiosk to mail pammie's ornament. Walked right past 30 people waiting in line. Did my thing, and left before the line even moved :). BTW pammie, I am terrible at arts and crafts so look at my ornament like you would if your 2nd grader was bringing you home something he did in school.”

Sadly, we don't have our tree up yet, but I will see if I can get a picture up for all to see in the next few days... :-) (Have a family dinner on Saturday, so it HAS to go up before the kiddies get here!)

BTW-- did you get hit with the same snow as we did? we got 9 inches at our house... :-) I got to snowshoe with my mom in her yard last night... :-)”

i love it!! and what little birdie could have told you i have been working with seahorses and their parasites in my lab??? amazing!! thanks so much! it is the only thing on the tree so far.....heh...have had the tree up in the house for a week and still not trimmed....sure smells good in here tho...

“mtn steve... You have to ask JB2638 where he got my ornament! It's a little fire with a cooking pot with some camp cups hung on the branches! Really cool! Along with the fire came some really amazing wood carvings, one of Santa and two of the wood spirit. JB included the legend of the wood spirit too. WOW! Really awesome! Thanks JB I will post pics soon.

“Ped, we tried one year to not buy anything made in China. To quote the tag on my Christmas tree "Christmas Made IN China". It's next to impossible unless you buy something hand crafted elsewhere.”

“Twigeater, I bought the ornament and added the little Cardinal. The potpourri jar I made myself. What I usually do is to put a candle in that, but I just knew a candle would not make it across country without breaking or melting and destroying everything else in the package. I made one for the host and hostess at the Christmas party I went to, it was a big hit.

That potpourri jar arrived in one piece, didn't it?
