It was a very cute ornament painted from a shell. Almost makes me wish I had a mini-me to go around town and carry it as a cool-looking pseudo purse!

Oh yeah, and I see you threw a spare piece of watermarked stationery in there. Just wait till I use that to get access and hack into (and on) your university records!!! MOOOOOOhahhahahohohoho!”

“Twigeater, I bought the ornament and added the little Cardinal. The potpourri jar I made myself. What I usually do is to put a candle in that, but I just knew a candle would not make it across country without breaking or melting and destroying everything else in the package. I made one for the host and hostess at the Christmas party I went to, it was a big hit.

That potpourri jar arrived in one piece, didn't it?”

“hopefully gremlin's package got there. i shipped it out so it would make it prior to christmas. i am afraid i am not that polished at wrapping and note writing. lizs expertly cropped photo and hand-written note sort of put my feeble attempt at the social graces (basically a non-effort on my part) to shame!”

“I got off work early today thinking I'd take a nice nap on a cloudy day. I heard a ruckus outside..a bunch of rattling and rolling..and I jumped like a bolt of lightening just knowing it was my mailman. When I got to the door he was standing there shaking the box saying..."oh no..I think whatever it is got broken in transit". I was crushed but had to laugh when I opened it. What he and I had been hearing was the trailmix rattling around. But my wheels are in prime condition and positioned perfectly to jet off thru the holidays!!! I'm gonna get a ticket I just know it!!! Thank you so much! My family are chevrolet people so I'm gonna take it to my parent's Sunday for my Dad and Brother to ooohhhh and ahhhh over too.”

I'm glad you like the ornament!!! :-) I was worried about whether it would get there okay, but it sounds like it arrived safe and sound!

Yes, I knitted the scarf... although I realize that you probably don't encounter that much cold weather out in Cali... :-) That's what took me a little longer. :-) It's short, though, so it should be good to take off a little chill without making you too hot. :-) (It's also acrylic, so I think it's washable, although I wouldn't put it in the dryer... :-)”

“Jimmy San, be happy I didn't put the photo of you (and Seafoam Farrah) *ON* an ornament. I've been known to do stuff like that for handmade ornaments. LOL! And dang, I had to print (and RESIZE!) that photo on the inkjet three times to make sure it fit in the box, doh! :-)”

“well you all will be happy to know that I will be getting a very small fake tree for next year so i can hang the ornaments :)”

“Chili and I were planning to get a real tree...we were going to go out into the woods and get a snoopy tree. We had yet to do it so last weekend, Chili went out back and dug around and brought in part of his artificial tree and put it up. It stands about 4 feet tall. It is the perfect tree. We put all of out TT ornaments plus some he had from storage. We decided to ditch the rest of the tree and only keep this 4 ft section to use in later years. hopefully next year we will have a real tree too...but this one was perfect for this year.”
