“Euchre is apparently a Midwestern thing. The only two times I've ever heard of it were the two trips I did to Ohio and Michigan this year.

The game itself is similar to Spades or Hearts, but since it only uses about half of the deck, it is said to be more "backpacker friendly" because of the lighter weight.”

“In college, my friends from Minnesota and Wisconsin had never heard of Euchre. So, maybe it is a Michigan/Ohio thing.

It was totally random, I put the names on slips of paper in a halloween buckeet and drew them one at a time, writing them next to each TT on the list, in order. I only threw back a name if it was that person or the person drawn had the person on the list already. Email has been sent out too.

I think the real fun (aside from opening my package, lol) will be hearing what everyone got and maybe seeing some pictures of people with their ornaments.”
