Lands' End Marinac vestView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 16 of 16 messages posted.
“This vest sounds really good and the price is right at $39.95. They have all kinds of Marinac stuff! Anybody have any of it? Wondering how it works?? http://www.landsend.com/cd/fp/prod/0,,1_2_1930_2328_94950_73397_5:view=59,00.html?sid=0056109291356185560&CM_MERCH=SRCH -Exclusive WindCheck laminate gives it full "soft-shell" function -Soft, insulating microfleece inside and out -Lycra®-spandex-bound armholes and hem -Neat inside pockets both left and right -DriOff finish on the outer fleece forces drizzle and mist to bead up, shake off -Zip front pockets concealed in princess seams The Marinac™ Vest may look like a fleece layer, but it's much more, thanks to the WindCheck™ membrane laminated between two layers of fleece. It adds stretch, windproofing, and water resistance — classic soft-shell qualities. We give it a zip front and two zip front pockets — all with bounce-proof springlock tabs — and roomy inside pockets — even a cell phone slot. Finally we add a DriOff™ finish so drizzle and mist bead up and shake off the outer fleece. 100% polyester. Machine wash. Imported.” 8:11:06 PM 11/28/04 “I got the Marinac jacket last year and really like it. Haven't used it on the trail, though, just around town. It definitely breaks the wind. Haven't used it in much rain to know how it performs there. It's a nice mid-weight jacket” 8:24:07 PM 11/28/04 “Cool, thanks for the info. Anyone else? Plus, all these Marinac products look good....” 7:43:12 AM 11/29/04 “If you are thinking of getting it I suggest do it now. I read a report that Lands End is the sore thumb in the merger of K-Mart and Sears. LE is owned by Sears and doesn't fit the mix. So the next few years appear to be questionable for them. That's too bad because they do have good clothing at good prices.” 2:58:40 PM 11/29/04 “got the wifey the jacket thanks for the link!” 6:48:43 PM 11/29/04 “sticks! Say it isn't so! I live for Lands End. While I don't really have any of their products for outdoor activities. I love their clothes. They hem for free. I've turned several long legged folks onto them as well.” 7:15:39 PM 11/29/04 “Why brag about a jacket from Lands End that breaks wind? Frrrrt. Big deal.” 7:18:18 PM 11/29/04 “I love Lands End, they better not screw with it. It's the only stuff I ever buy from Sears anyway. Well, you know, except for tools and stuff. And the occasional electronics. Sometimes cookware. They still better not screw with it!” 7:23:39 PM 11/29/04 “LOL @ skully. You are keeping Sears in bidness.” 9:57:17 PM 11/29/04 “How much does it weigh?” 10:03:29 PM 11/29/04 silly humans... “Just get it, and if don't perform, send it back...why all the hub bub about buying something...I've never seen such whinny people before. Whaa whaa whaaa..does anyone have it, whats it like, should I get it...WTF!!! just buy the dang thing and use it for cryin out loud. When I was in the clothing biz, men would come in to shop, then after spending a couple of hours putting together outfits...they'd say...I gotta get my wife's input or, "I gotta ask the boss" yeah like she's gonna ask you if its ok for her to buy something...WTF!!! just buy the phukin stuff or get the hell out of my shop and stop wasting my time. sheet...what's wrong with you people? Lizs...just buy the thing and love it, or send it back...simple.” 10:10:22 PM 11/29/04 “Don't be messin' with me, stikkie. I like to research before a purchase. It's half the fun! I am looking for the best vest purchase possible -- the most features at the most economical price. Don't have money to blow... And what are "whinny" people? Do they sound like horses? ;-P” 11:20:11 PM 11/29/04 “IT'S ON SALE!! They're all at $29.99, cut from $44.50 for XL and $39.50 for other sizes. Time to order, me thinks! :-)” 2:50:38 PM 2/10/05 “At first glance I thought the thread title was "Land's End Mainiac Vest".” 2:52:27 PM 2/10/05 “Hence, a natural for Twigeater. LOL!” 2:54:16 PM 2/10/05 “Wait, or is that "Maine-iac?"” 2:54:44 PM 2/10/05
