smiley, i don't know your age but if you're like my wife, who recently went back to school, you'll find plenty of annoying classmates...she complains all the time about some frat boy bragging about getting drunk or somebody talking on their phone

So tuesday is my busiest day of the week. Bike to work, work, bike 14 mile to school, 2 hrs class and 11 miles home. About a 14hour day. I long for my meal before my ride to class, Its a highpoint. I packed 5 med pieces of mushroom, pepper, onion and olive pizza today and couldnt wait to eat. I get ready for my ride and went to get my food and wouldnt you know it, someone ate it.

Immediately I yelled "where's Dings (a coworkers nickname)". He poked his head around the corner I let him have it. He said he thought it was his, I explained that I had 25 miles to ride and that was my dinner till 8pm. He offered $5, I replied that a $5 bill wont fill my stomach since I cant go to any fast food places on a friggin bike.

I will apologize tomorrow. I knew it was hime since I had heard he does this. Though it never happened to me. Lessons learned.

how aweful! >:(. I would put in a complaint... How the hell could he think that was his food??? How inconsiderate! I would not apologize. Someone needs to get on him for that.

yeah birch, i wouldn't apologize too much - he knew dam well it wasn't his. If you yelled at him in front of people apologize for that, but leave him with the knowledge that your still ticked.

That was happening at the local university. Lunches were disappearing from the refrigerator that people from the chemistry deparment was using.

That was a bad mistake.

They took a sandwich and put a few drops of phenolphthalein solution on it.

Phenolphthalein is an indicator. It changes color from clear to pinkish when a solution goes from acid to base, at about pH 9, and it is used when performing titration experiments.

It also used to be the active ingredient in Ex-Lax.

The next day, one of the janitors called in sick and was out for a couple of days. They warned him not to steal lunches out of the refrigerator again, and the problem stopped.

my co-worker ate his roommates food repeatedly when he had the munchies,
my suggestion was to to put empty containers in the fridge/freezer that looked and felt like they were full, or to hide things in the crisper
Better yet, let him have it!!!

Roam, the apology is for my tone, not intent.

SC, file a complaint? Its not managements issue to solve or be concerned about.

As an aside this is the same guy who broke the tab off of his pop can and it fell inside. He was concerned about drinking it so he dumpd the pop in a cup, he then drank the cup witjout realizing the tab was in it. He is our most educated employee 6 years of colege that man has....

I disagree, birch. What he is doing is stealing. That's against the law, and management must deal illegal actions (whether or not it is in any formal company "rule book"). They should write him up, and then remove him if it continues.

My sister use to work in a Doctors office and one of the staff people use to go through everyone’s lunch and take the one they thought look the best to eat. After falling victim a few times my sister started labeling her lunch "Stool Sample."

Birch.

Someone I knew had a roommate in college who used to eat everyone's food.

So, one day, she went and got a can of catfood and made it up with mayo.. put it in a container and left it in the fridge.

Wouldn't you know it, the food stealer ATE it?

The girl who put the catfood out, casually mentioned "Hey, who took the catfood?"

NEedless to say, the stealing stopped.

Cell Phone ring tones, arrrrggggggggggggggggg.

The cube next to me plays the theme from Shaft as the ring tone like 1000 times a day.

The other day in the hallway, a coworker's phone started playing "What's your name, little girl, what's your name....." LOL
Can he get any more redneck?

my co-worker pooped in my truck. so all day I had to drive with the air on high and the window opened all the way,
then the other one barked for 5 hours

evil co workers!!

The swish-swish effect is normally due to big thighs. Thus the bacon remark. I always like seeing those women at the supermarket that have like the ham hocks on their inner knees and it's like they have to walk around their own leg every time they step. They are like two Krispy Kreams away from a life in a Rascal scooter.

I had a co-worker take me out to lunch to tell me that she was talking about me, to my boss, behind my back. I didn't quite know if I was supposed to thank her for lunch or not. My boss thought it was hilarious.

NO! I like my George Michael "Freedom" ring tone!

I don't have my phone very loud tho. It's in my purse and most often I don't even hear it.

Ok, so I'm on week two at the new job and people are already trash talking other people to me. oy evay! I wish I knew a way to avoid this...

the coworker who makes a fresh pot of coffee with only 4 scoops. The coffee is so weak you can see the bottom of the pot.

My uncle is the same way. Makes very weak coffee. But it's probably because my grandfather made coffee you could either drink, or strip paint with.

It was unbelievable. He made "hobo coffee", where you just toss the coffee into the pot with water and boil it. The stuff looked like motor oil in a cup, and you had to strain the grounds out with your teeth.

I remember someone talking on TT about making coffee like that. Then they would do something that causes the grounds to fall to the bottom of the pot.
