trail conditions
Anyone know what the trail conditions are like up on Mt. LeConte right now? Mainly curious about the Alum Cave Trail and the Boulevard Trail. Is there any snow and/or ice on the mountain? Not planning to go there this weekend because I am planning on going to the Adirondacks, but I need a back up plan if that trip doesn't materialize.

Thsi site has conditions at various locations in the park, including at LeConte. You'll need to scroll down a ways thistime of night for conditions.

oddly enough, both mountains are named after the same guy. Then again, how many guys are named LeConte.

If I had two cool mountains named after me I'd be pretty satisfied.

those are cool pics of the Chimneys. I'm surprised you don't have any posted of LeConte. The view of LeConte from the Chimneys is supposed to awesome. the Chimneys are a knife edge and are really cool. I haven't hiked up to them ever but the next time I get down to the park I plan to.
