I didn't sleep last night for some reason.” 5:10:59 PM 11/13/08 “With or without bacon?” 5:12:07 PM 11/13/08 “i really don't want bacon in my drink, thank you for offering though.” 5:17:46 PM 11/13/08 “I was thinking about a hot buttered rum last night. Are you sure you'd rather have a sloe gin than a Ramos Gin Fizz? RGFs are absolutely killer when done correctly. We got any orange flower water in this dump?” 5:25:22 PM 11/13/08 “i'm willing to try it.” 5:36:46 PM 11/13/08 “listen, i'll just grab my own bottle, i only need a shot of vodka.” 5:37:25 PM 11/13/08 “need it for what?” 5:43:36 PM 11/13/08 “wow, needs explaining?” 5:46:14 PM 11/13/08 “ Here's the low-down.... Just so your tastebuds will be properly prepared.... The Original Ramos Gin Fizz Invented in the 1880s by Henry C. Ramos, in his bar at Meyer's Restaurant, this is one of New Orleans' most famous drinks. The secret of its flavor and texture is orange flower water and egg whites. When Huey P. Long was governor of Louisiana he brought with him to New York's Roosevelt Hotel the bartender from the New Orleans Roosevelt just so he could have New Orleans gin fizzes whenever he was in New York. 2 ounces gin 3 drops orange flower water 1 egg white 1 teaspoon simple syrup 1 ounce lemon juice 1/2 ounce lime juice 1 ounce cream Soda water (chilled) People might freak about raw egg whites..... You can substitute powdered egg white available from King Arthur. They also carry orange flower water, though the preferred brand is A. Monteux which you can find many places on the Web these days. If you're using powdered egg, it is recommend to reconstitute it separately to avoid lumps. Proceed Thusly for Best Results: Chill a 14 oz. Zombie glass. Combine all ingredients except the soda in a shaker cup and whip with an immersion or 'stick' blender for about 20 seconds to get the meringue started. Add a scoop of ice and shake for half a minute. Put an ounce or two of soda in the chilled Zombie glass and strain the concoction on top. Stir lightly and garnish with lime if desired. "Every Man A King!" (or whatever the gender-neutral equivalent of that might be) ” 6:24:13 PM 11/13/08 “no grenadine?” 6:34:18 PM 11/13/08 “two more shots and i think i'll go” 6:36:59 PM 11/13/08 “noooooooooooooooooooooooo.....” 6:37:17 PM 11/13/08 “I don't have all that junk here either. I do have the stuff for a hot buttered rum, though........” 6:39:12 PM 11/13/08 “Brian needed the computer, sorry.” 10:47:26 PM 11/13/08 “I thought maybe the Lab Experiment scared you off..... and we didn't even get to the Behavior Modification part!
