He gets more displeased that people reject Him than He does over people using poor judgment. The evidence is the punishment He gives for rejecting Him is eternal damnation in Hell. For using poor judgment, He offers grace.

You believe that because you don't understand.

If you will recall, Hell is a place where God is not. God sends you there if you reject Him.

Let's say that one more time another way ... IF YOU REJECT GOD, HE WILL GRANT YOUR WISH AND SEND YOU AWAY FROM HIM.

God is everything that is good. By definition, He is where love is, and all things good. Hell is the absense of God.

If YOU reject Him, He will obey YOUR wish. For that you call Him an ass hole.

Who's the ass hole now?

So "your" god would make you be around his greatness for ALL eternity, even if you didn't want to be, or what? Or do you think he created you to live a miniscule amount of time and then just become dirt? Why would he do that? Where's the genius in that?

beats me. maybe i'll just get to stay in the guest house like cato. or maybe he'll be a real pain in the ass landLord like mr roper. or i dunno, its like "heaven" and "paradise" sooooooooooo itll be just the most bestest most wonderfullest thing ever, and me and god'll go hiking and play golf every other weekend, but most times he'll just leave me alone, and maybe every once in awhile i have to go on patrol with the angels, or give harp-playing lessons down at the childrens hospital once a month

We are created "in His image" for the purpose of loving Him. To understand that isn't to be prideful.

Your parents created you in their image. To understand that relationship doesn't mean you're full of pride. It means you understand how reality works.

Jesus is Lord. Anything else is just a figment of your imagination. To reject Jesus is to reject God.

What I find prideful is thinking you can just make up any God that makes you happy. God is what He is, whether or not you "like" Him is irrelevant.

salvation is just a figment of the imagination of some cheap-ass jew 2000 years ago, who was tired of sacrificing his best goats every sabbath.

so what? a bunch of superstitious camel-humpers latched on to the feel good story of the year. just because a sht load of people believe something, doesnt make it true. if you woulda told me a month ago the giants were gonna win the superbowl, me and 200 million people wouldnt have believed you

It's illogical to think that those men, which were witnessed by thousands, would undergo all they went through for a myth that they made up. First off, there would be no point. Secondly, no person could withstand that kind of torture. Would you be willing to be beheaded for a practical joke you made up?

Not only that, He fulfilled prophesy that was statistically impossible to fulfill by chance, especially in just a few hundred years - but even in millions of years.

I think it takes more "faith" to believe all of it is made up than to understand it happened.

The difference between your Giants analogy and what we're talking about is that the Giants fans at that time were predicting what would happen in the future. The disciples were there with Him until His death. It wasn't somebody else's prediction for them - THEY WERE THERE AT THE TIME. Afterwards, they went through the tortures and the beheadings. Why would they do that?

A true analogy would be if you would risk torture and death claiming that the Pats DID win the Superbowl.

But the books were released at the time that people who were alive during Christ's life were still alive. That makes no sense. Nobody stood up and said it's not real. The opposite happened. The Word was spread by those people.

its called "cooking the books" look it up

The prophesy was definitely written before Christ's birth. That's not in dispute by any credible historian, Christian or not.

If Christ lived and died the way everyone said He did - there is no doubt that's remarkable. Remember, those people were not looking for the kind of savior that Jesus was. They were looking for an earthly King - Like from Lord of the Rings or something. Not some guy that would die and be resurrected. These people were desparate. There would be no reason for them to "cook the books" as you say. None. They wanted a certain kind of hero. They wouldn't have made up they one they did to save them from their government. Again, that's illogical.

The "victors" didn't emerge until hundreds of years later. Nobody would claim the Christians were "victorious" for the first few hundred years - the time when the books were written and then initially read.

I won't debate belief or NON belief..thats personal. I have AMPLE evidence what I believe is good. It has made me better so I will stick with it.

The really strange thing is I can show evidence I can show that THIS or THAT did or DID not happen..won't matter.

On a world level, I can SHOW you where something as simple as not wearing a seat belt is dangerous....but there are people who will not ever wear it. So Hey hugs and kisses.
