Bush Pressuring GOP to Pass Intelligence Bill

Bush is starting to pressure his own party to pass an intelligence bill.

GOP Senator Warner is against this bill and haves a strong backing by quite a few Rep. Senators.

To me this is kind of funny because the Democrats are supporting this bill.

Now that the Republicans have all the cards they seem to be losing their marbles.

The Senate isn't an issue, Warner can't hold anything up. It's the House (specifically Sensenbrenner) that's the issue.

Bison, don't you find it odd that it hasn't passed yet esp when the Democrats are for it. What is it that the Republicans see that they don't want to bring it up for a vote.

Warner may not have a direct say but other folks in Congress sure are listening to him and others on this topic.

Could there be some party differences that is splitting the Republican party right now. How will that affect Bush this term if it continues to grow?
