I went to Costco on Friday, and saw that it has hand/feet warmers. I don't remember the exact quantity or price, but it was like a brick of 20+ packs for $20. I can't find it online to confirm.

Thanks for the tip, I was gonna drop into to Costco after work, I'll keep an eye out for them.

Might have been much cheaper than that. I remember thinking "darn good price" but I couldn't talk myself into buying that many at one time since they do go bad with time.

Give us an update if you find them.

Have you tried the Nalgene Snowflake Wide Mouth Loop-Top 1L + Splashguard that Matt sells? I went to Campmor to see what they had and found a reason for the splashguard.
"The water easily splashes out over the user's mouth and face, so the user has to stop walking to take a drink. The SplashGuard fixes this problem ..."
Just wondering. I usually enjoy stopping for a rest whenever I drink water.

My wife uses a wide-mouth Nalgene with a splash guard, at work. We've taken it on day trips before, the splashguard is worth it.

Actually, guys can buy the women's Xlarge sizes - there really is no difference, if you look at them side-by-side (unless you've got fred flintstone fatties)

I did consider getting the XL women's, but it seems the sole is suede...for camping use I'd prefer something more waterproof. But still great for around the house!

I've worn my down booties at home before. My bedroom is on a corner and over an unheated garage. On cold winter nights it isn't all that uncommon for the room temperature to be 50 or lower. The hardwood floor is even colder and painful to walk on barefoot. Got to love that 1970's craftsmanship.

Bit, I think all the soles are non-waterproof. Mine are just nylon. I only use down booties when the ground is frozen or snow covered.

Dang! $17 is a great price. I paid $30 for mine when I got it. The LED insert is worth buying with it. I had a pair of lithium batteries last over a year with the insert.

I'd love to jike with you sometime. I bet you have the coolest shlt.

GoLite Coal
The insulation will appear thin, but it sure is warm and very light. Mine has traveled in my pack thru the Rocky's and WindRiver's trips and many more local.
It's great for temps down to about freezing or a little below. If it's going to be over 40 I detach the hood and leave it home.

Way way warmer than a pound of fleece.
