I shut him and everyone else up by threatening to sing and act the "I'm A Little Teapot" song.” 12:06:50 PM 3/16/07 “LOL!” 1:26:24 PM 3/16/07 “ ![]() last edited: 3/16/07 1:30:31 PM” 1:29:47 PM 3/16/07 “LOL.. tree I am slowly moving my equipment to the "farm" and it is like Christmas opening the boxes. Unfortunatly I am find stuff then placing it on my scale to check weight (LOL)......” 1:30:17 PM 3/16/07 “Yeah, but it isn't made out of Ti!” 1:37:43 PM 3/16/07 Nightray Headlamp 40% off “http://www.ems.com/catalog/product_detail_square.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442586092&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=282574489160699&bmUID=1174310225456 Sweet deal on Black Diamond Nightray headlamp. MY GF and I both own one now :). regularly 39.99...now 23.95.” 8:19:56 AM 3/19/07 Stuff 6:45:05 PM 3/24/07 “last person that asked if i wanted to "Buy a Buff" was proposing an illegal transaction.” 8:54:52 PM 3/24/07 “oh, and i have used speedlaces as a runner and despised them. i found them very uncomfortable. classic case of too much thought being put into a simple problem that has already been solved. to be specific... i found that the elastic lace holder thingies could be felt on the top of my foot. basically these thread on and the bottom of the product was too invasive. then when the elastic is tight (to hold your shoe on!) the posts lean inwards and make the aforementioned problem even worse. you could get around this by loosening the elastic somewhat, but at the point where the posts weren't leaning in the laces, in my experience, weren't tight enough. anyway, my personal experience. other people may have had a different one.” 8:59:44 PM 3/24/07 “I'm too cheap to buy this system & most of my sneakers have "loops" so the posts probably wouldn't work. What I am thinking of is just buying 1/8" bungee cord & using that with a cinch. I use leather clogs now since I slide my shoes on & off a lot. My thinking is that elastic laces would make this process easier & quicker when I'm wearing sneakers” 5:40:11 PM 3/25/07 Mandatory Gear “Puppy pile ![]() 4 person, 4 season tent. wt 25.1oz” 11:44:36 PM 4/18/07 12:11:20 AM 4/19/07 “The words "Adventure Racing" double the price.” 6:41:38 AM 4/19/07 “that strikes me as WAY expensive for a silnylon single-wall tent. also i would think that condensation would be awful since silnylon is not the least bit breathable. i am not trying to dis yer tent, man, but on the surface this doesn't look like it will perform to the level of products of equivelant price.” 1:26:33 PM 4/19/07 “or perhaps i misunderstood your post and you haven't actually bought it yet... so it might not be too late! ;)” 1:27:21 PM 4/19/07 “http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/ptech/04/19/green.gadgets/index.html Is anyone here familiar with the products hawked by cnn/ outside magazine that are "Green?"” 1:43:34 PM 4/19/07 “No, I didn't buy it, just thought that was mega ultralite for a 4 season 4 person tent. Just surfin' last night and stumbled on it.” 9:41:56 PM 4/19/07 “Tofutech? okaaaaaaaaaaaaay!” 10:23:54 PM 4/19/07 “Great tent, I like the wide side entrance (although bad for when its raining) and its about the same weight at my 2-person Tarptent. Freestanding, too. But yowza, what a price. This isn't vented anything like the Tarptents, though, and even they have condensation problems. This thing will be like waking up in a rainforest every morning.” 7:24:43 AM 4/20/07 “Check out REI Outlet 20% off one item automatically deducted. They have two bomb stoves on sale. the Brunton Optimus Crux Stove 3 OZ. 3 minute boil time $33.00 delivered I bought.UnFingbelievable. Also Primus Multifuel stove $60.00 .” 8:58:19 PM 6/11/07 “i used the rei deal to buy a rope that i just found at campmor for $10 less... oh well. proves you always have to shop around.” 11:25:21 PM 6/11/07 “REI is awesome for their refund policy, in which they pretty much will buy anything back regardless of how old it is, as long as you're a member. Their house brand is also really good, as many of those products are made by all your familiar leading suppliers, but just rebranded for REI. But if cost is your concern, you're probably better off looking elsewhere. Places like Campmor almost always have lower-enough prices so that your delivered cost is still less than going to the REI to pick up the same thing. And there's no sales tax on any clothing products in New Jersey ;-) last edited: 6/12/07 10:45:11 AM” 10:43:33 AM 6/12/07 4:56:24 AM 8/07/07 “it is! and they actually have all the sizes and colors still.” 5:08:17 AM 8/07/07 “Nice web site. Only weighs a little over a pound. Good product!” 6:15:33 AM 8/07/07 “That is a good buy, Div. I have several of them.” 8:03:57 AM 8/07/07 “Saw this in this months issue of Parents magazine: Designed to protect individual bananas on the go from getting bruised until time of consumption. This banana storage container is perfect for backpackers, bikers, children's lunches and all others who simply want to enjoy nature's most perfect food intact, just as it was purchased. The only banana container available with a popsicle slot for making your favorite frozen banana pops (see recipe page). When freezing bananas you need to peel the banana first. The banana saver uses an approved food grade material for a peeled banana. http://bananasaver.com/” 4:51:20 AM 8/20/07 “Copycats! I have a down sleeping bag of theirs that's about 40 years and still going strong. I'm looking at one of the internal packs and no dealers nearby to check it out in person. Looking at either the red Tail of Danali both like 4500 cu in” 1:10:36 PM 4/27/08 “i bought a ton of tents for the boy scouts two years ago. good quality tents at a great price. i did not know they sold down bags... all the ones i saw were synthetic. i was not impressed with their packs... far heavier than you would expect and the fit was awkward... but this was on youn boys upon which most packs would no be a good fit. their service is great.” 1:32:11 PM 4/27/08 “Thanks yogisan... as I said the bag is 40 years old if it's a day so they might not make them anymore” 1:35:28 PM 4/27/08 “i just looked at their web site. sure enough they do have a line of down bags. the packs look about the same.” 1:46:58 PM 4/27/08 “I thought of you Yogster when I picked it up!” 2:22:24 PM 4/27/08
