Date suggestions

“I need some date advice for an old married fart.

It seems that the only time we get a sitter and go out these days are for our little group supper club and the like. It's time to go out with just my wife and I. I'm planning on going here: http://www.birminghammenus.com/losangeles/

Any suggestions for other things to do other than dinner and a movie. I'm not a dancer, btw.

“dayhiker, you're a good man! The question is, is your wife open to new things??? If yes, take her away somewhere completely new for a few days to a week. If she's a homebody, do something you know she likes but add a little twist; a gift, maybe some flowers, some kind of surprise. We have a place that makes arrangements of chocolate covered fruit, it's always a hit! Does your wife work? If so, send her flowers for sure. I was told that other women in the office get extremely irritated when someone they work with gets flowers and they get none (kind of like the Queen Bee syndrome I guess you could call it!).

“How 'bout a library date? You could each relax in the library some evening spending your time reading or studying. When the library closes, you could walk around a park holding hands. You might even find yourselves able to talk to each other, at ease and free from other distractions. It's a great way to get reacquainted and to re-examine your commitments to each other.

I mean, go to the places you first met and felt the spark-- if it's the local arcade,
then grab a roll of quarters and play some skeeball or your favorite video games... :-)

since you are down south, if it's warm enough, go to the local "gourmet" store, pack a picnic and go to a park--- play on the swing set, walk through the park, etc....not necessarily backpack, but take a walk--(less work that way!) You could make your own little "geocache" with a treasure map to some goodies along the way?!

Have fun and propose to her using one of those big candy rings... :-)”
