Not Conceding
Our first republican govenor, Dino Rossi, in 20 years was elected, but won by about 261 votes. The democrat, Christine Gregoire, wanted a recount, but only in the counties that favor democrats, and she still didn't win when it was done. Rossi is governor elect, but Gregoire is now calling for a statewide handcount. Even the democrats are telling her to give it up, because Rossi won.

I just thought I'd let everyone know what's going on in other parts of the country.

Has anyone else noticed that when you post something, the advertisements on the side of the page reflect what is being said? Now I see republican advertisements. When I was chatting with Ped about the unconscious mind, ads about that were on the side.

I find it funny that every four years Jessie Jackson rolls out and says millions of minorities were disenfranchised and there’s all this other rigging. But no proof is ever brought. Yet a backwoods 2.5rd world country like Albania actually captures the rigging and disenfranchisement on tape.

The democrats are going to harm the proccess in a way we haven't seen sense the little boy cried wolf. If ya lose just scream loud and long and maybe we'll win.

WA is having both democrats and republicans involved in the recount for governer of WA in an attempt to keep people honest.

The democrats were going to have to pay $700,000 for a recount at one point, so Howard Dean asked for money on his website, and Kerry gave Gregoire an extra $200,000 he had left over from his campaign. They still didn't have enough money, but Gregiore said she had promises of money to be given to her.

Nigal, the feeling is that chads will get punched out that weren't punched out before, so the extra handling can change the ballot.

The people (officials) that handle the election ballots feel that the most accurate count is the one that is done first by machine. There is a very small amount of ballots that get screwed up by machine counting. The woman, Christine Gregoire, who was running for governor insists it's a bigger margin, even though she has nothing to back it up.

She now wants ballots that were not counted for various reasons to be counted, and it was her that put into law years ago that they should not be counted if there were to be additional counts. In other words, she is grabbing at staws and trying to change her own law.

Christine Gregoire made a big deal about a provisional ballot for her being thrown out unfairly. Well, that's her spin. Turns out on further expection, this guy signed his name differently than he usually does, so that's why it was thrown out. The guy thought he would sign his name clearly instead of the scratchy way he usually does. What an idiot!

Governor's Race Tilts to Democrat in Recount

(CNN) -- Washington's most populous county is expected to announce its manual vote recount Wednesday, which could swing results in the closest governor's race ever in state history.

Also Wednesday, the state Supreme Court will hear arguments on whether some 730 additional ballots can be hand-counted and added to that total in King County, a Democratic-leaning bastion that includes Seattle.

On Tuesday night, Democrats claimed state Attorney General Christine Gregoire had moved ahead of Republican Dino Rossi for the first time with an eight-vote victory, citing preliminary recount data given to them by King County election officials, The Associated Press reported.

"We're confident Christine Gregoire has been elected the governor of the state of Washington," Democratic Chairman Paul Berendt told the AP. "I believe Dino Rossi should concede."

8 votes is scary. It's like Florida in 2000, it's just so close that no matter how careful you were in conducting the election and counting the ballots there's no way you'd ever know who would have won if the election had been perfect.

The Secretary of State wanted everyone to vote again by mail.

The invitations have been printed and I think they even went out for the inaugural ball, so they may have to be done over if the winner is not announced in time.

It's unbelievable that with about 300 million people voting that the election can be so close.

Violin

Violin, Rossi was named governer elect. The election was over and he won. Then Christine Gregoire challenged the outcome since it was so close and wanted a recount in counties that were known to be mostly democratic. Then she still did not win after the two county recount. Then she wanted a total recount and that's what's happening now.

For instance: In District 139 voting in Lyman and Waterboro, Democrat Michael McAlevey of Waterboro came out of Election Night with a 13-vote lead over Republican Lawrence Jacobsen of Waterboro. The subsequent recount put Jacobsen ahead, 2,418-2,412, with 13 disputed ballots, according to the secretary of state´s office.

Violin, the ballots were counted twice and Dino Rossi won, but Gregoire did not concede, so why should he concede? I'm not sure if the republicans think all the soldiers votes were counted.

I can see Gregoire wanting a recount, but the democrats in her party were actually whining when they talked about it. Talk like you're a leader, not a whiney two year old that can't get the toy he wanted in the store. The people representing her must have wished they could redo their interviews after they saw themselves on tv, because they came off as whiney sore losers.

I saw both parties and their representatives speaking, so I can tell you how they appeared as they represented their parties.

The Rossi camp is not whining.

You may wonder why it is a close race in a democratic state, and it's because Christine Gregoire is not liked, even by her own party. She cost the state a tremendous amount of money by an error on her part and tried to blame someone else and this is the story:

July 07, 2004

Christine Gregoire Meltdown

Washington gubernatorial candidate / Attorney General Christine Gregoire finally settled the lawsuit over her office's botched appeal and subsequent scapegoating of an innocent employee. The story was buried by announcing the settlement on the Friday before the Fourth of July. Another several hundred thousand of your and my tax dollars went flying out of the state treasury because of Gregoire's mismanagement.

"I consider this a compassionate and reasonable settlement to a very unfortunate mistake," the attorney general said.
A more compassionate and reasonable settlement would be for this incompetent gasbag to drop out of the governor's race and spare us from having to listen to her any more.

Even the P-I says that Gregoire is full of it:

Attorney General Christine Gregoire called it a "good deal" for the taxpayers ... Capps' attorney calculates the tab at $350,000 upfront and a total of $1.5 million over the remainder of Capps' career. We still don't know who was responsible for the mistakes made on the original case.

So the "good deal" for taxpayers was what -- that the state didn't spend another $500,000 at trial, lose and have to pay out the $3 million in damages Capps asked?

Whoopee.

Gregoire is finished.

***** ******** *******
She really is a bad candidate for the democrats not only for her errors, but she also was the President of a sorority that EXCLUDED BLACKS & JEWS as reported by the Seattle Times.
