We even brought 3 furry-legged and fanged gals with us that we dug up, now no longer AZ residents. :(

“I am on a roll. four hikes last week, already did one this week with another one planned with lovley vicki and then two more solo hikes. so shooting for seven hikes in two weeks. oh yeah baby!! oh did I tell you I love this time of year?


they may be short day hikes but better then being indoors!!

so what do you have planned?”

“A few weekends ago Tarabull and I lead the Michigan DNRs' B.O.W. backpacking trip in Pictured Rocks. It was me and twelve women! The weather was crappy and cold but there were no complaints by anyone--and they were all beginning backpackers. We had a great time. Dinner the first night was a Mountain House smorgasbord (all the dinners were surprisingly good!) and the second night was homemade trail dinners.

The only thing coming up soon for me is the firearm deer hunting season.”

“Did a hike last Friday in Thatcher Park and then Saturday was opening day of muzzleloader deer season. Rifle season opens this weekend so I'll be hunting every weekend from now through December.”

“Gonna spend the weekend helping a friend move. May take my best buddy out for a walk in the woods to see how he handles "critters" Seeing as how he is a 7 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever I figure its about time I try him as a trail pup.”

“probably do some day hikes over the next few weekends, then a trip to joshua tree with my brother and whoever else wants to go the weekend after thanksgiving”

I know i am going camping with the scouts in Nov, but aslo want to do a solo trip.”
