Besides the drive, how's the new job?

great zac.

i thought the transition to the big state office building cubicle type thing would suck, but it's not bad at all.

i guess the most important thing is your co-workers anyway, and everyone here's pretty good peeps.

Sooooo, they pidgeon-holed yer arse in a cubicle?

Just remember, the cube is not a prison. It only has 3 walls.

i'm adjusting...

hey, can't be that bad if i still can squeeze in some state paid TT time, eh?

i thought it would bother me more.

but i didn't think the new job would cut into my weekends so much.

A cubicle can't be all bad.

At least you can scratch your nads in the privacy of your own little cellular structure.

I ran into a couple at trail days in May and they had two with them. I hadn't ever seen this type of bull before..liked them but didn't give it much more thought. Then a few weeks ago I ran into the exact same couple with the dogs on the AT. My impression of english is they would not be able to go on the trail..understandably. But these Staffordshires were going at it...are they not as "sickly" as english...or better to adapt to the outside elements?
Carlette

staffordshire's are definately better suited for a hiking partner. they can take the heat better and have more stamina.

biggest problem is that they are considered pitbulls so you might run into all sorts of insurance and other breed discrimination type issues.

since i know you'd be getting one from a reputable breeder and you're not a scumbag, all the other usual pitbull issues are non-existant.

but your home insurance company might not see it that way.

HEY first, I'm stoked I'm not classified as a scumbag!

I was really impressed with the little guys. When I saw the couple approaching I thought..whoooaaaa...thats those dogs..they were boogiyn. We stopped and talked awhile...and the little dudes were social too. Very impressive...haven't been able to find a local breeder of course to discuss anything with.

My home owners hasn't ever asked what type of dog I have....I don't think.

i'd find out for sure, some will drop you on the spot.

it'd suck if you ever had to file a claim and somebody from the company drops by and see's your little buddy, and prompty tells you your claim and whole policy is now invalid.

that's my advice anyways.

but as far as the breed goes they are pretty cool doggies and should be much cheaper than english bullies

Thats an interesting thought about the insurance. I would have never thought about it. I'm interested now to look over the policy to see if it says anywhere how or when to "report changes"

nope.
our last breeding (aug) with winnie did not take. this was our second try with her so we've been talking to a reproductive specialist.

we'll be trying again very soon with peanut (the new champ) and winnie next cycle.

so we'll hopefully have some puppies this winter, maybe 2 litters if we can figure out winnie.

i'll letcha know.

well, a chi would probably be easier on your wallet, but generally they're not a great breed for children.

i wouldn't go that far.
i mean if dogs ever take over the world, and they chose a king, i hope they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas.

i'm not sure, but i think so.
i can't think of how without it in front of me though and i'm off today.
i won't be in the office again until wed. next week. i can try then.

sorry i can't be of better help.

BTW, photoshop is all set, thanks man.

Thanks, I'll probably have more questions by then, like is it possible to merge two themes together.
lumberzac
3:37:02 PM
12/16/05

yup! you can merge themes pretty easily. again, i'll have to sit at my desk and write down the steps/menus as i do it tho.

very true dayhiker, especially with arcview. one thing about that software is that it's not very intuitive and the pulldown menus are not organized well at all
sacco
5:30:34 PM
12/16/05

zac, merging and separating themes:

use the view pulldown menu, geoprocessingwizard.

make sure the themes you want to work with are already selected before clicking on wizard tool.

Thanks. Any info on my first question? I have a polygon theme that I want to show as an outline, but the outline needs to be a heavy dotted line.
