Haha!” 12:54:52 PM 10/11/06 “Hey I'm moving to Charlotte, NC in January. One of our college-going scouts is at the NC School of the Arts in the Raleigh Durham area.” 12:55:11 PM 10/11/06 “Charlotte? The Queen City? HOld on...are you treebeard?” 12:58:35 PM 10/11/06 “No, Treebait.” 12:58:58 PM 10/11/06 “OH ok..dagg I was all confused ...I guess I need to break out my halloween name from last year. Whats up in Charlotte?” 1:00:27 PM 10/11/06 “A good paying job for HPM.” 1:16:33 PM 10/11/06 “buckaroos keep things in perspective...and you're gonna need'em in Charlotte. Good for you!!!” 1:25:31 PM 10/11/06 “Lol, yeah, I've noticed about the money up there. Every time I'm up there, checking on house construction and such I always feel under dressed. The joke in Charlotte is that if you don't already work for a bank, you will at some point.” 1:32:32 PM 10/11/06 3:16:58 PM 10/13/06 “nigal, did you get my reply to your email?” 8:20:36 AM 10/25/06 “Yes I did chicky! I read it just before work last night and haven't had a chance to reply yet. :)” 8:29:12 AM 10/25/06 “CINCINNATI, Ohio (Reuters) -- Until last year, financial counselors at the Home Ownership Center of Greater Cincinnati spent most of their time teaching Americans how to buy a first home. Now, they're deluged by broken and bereft homeowners facing foreclosure. "Oh Lord, there is no way we can keep up with these calls," said Kaye Britton, a foreclosure counselor at the downtown nonprofit group that promotes home ownership to minority Americans, among others. Britton has been helping clients reach the American dream of owning a home since 2002. Handmade wall signs urge would-be buyers to "sweat the small stuff" and note the lender's golden rule: "They have the gold, they make the rules." Foreclosures were formerly rare, caused mostly by the loss of job, divorce or medical bills. But when rising interest rates began driving up mortgage payments last year, homeowners started to feel the pain. Phones at credit counselors across the country are now ringing off the hook. The industrial heartland has been particularly hard-hit. Ohio had the highest number of home foreclosures in 2006, while neighboring Michigan and Indiana -- all sideswiped by the faltering U.S. auto industry -- were close behind. Housing analysts predict between 1 million and 3 million U.S. homes will be foreclosed upon in 2007. Already a wave of defaults on subprime mortgages held by those with poor credit have caused a crisis in parts of the industry, and some economists believe a recession could result. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/03/22/subprime.counselors.reut/index.html Bush's policies taking America toward recession. Wasn't that long ago Bush was so proud of his "home ownership society." http://64.236.24.12/2004/ALLPOLITICS/03/26/bush.homes/index.html” 7:43:54 PM 3/22/07 “ohio is gay” 8:41:04 PM 3/22/07 “Ohio legislature has proposed a Bill to make it a crime to be within six feet of a stripper? Is Ohio's economy doing so well that it can afford to shut down an industry that employs 10,000 people and generates $250 million a year in revenue? Buddha better contact his Legislator.” 3:03:11 PM 5/05/07 “Just more examples of how freedom is being plucked from our grasp while everyone sits to the side saying, "This is for our own good.". On a bright note though Gov. Strickland did present a budget to the state house which was passed unanimously. First time if 40 years since that's happened. I may end up being glad for having voted for a democrat. GASP!!” 3:26:36 PM 5/05/07 “It passed unanimously not because it was a good plan, but because it was distributed to the legislature by strippers. Guess that will never happen again either. ;-)” 3:39:07 PM 5/05/07 “It's kind of sobering to look at someone else's messed up life and be able to admit that, that could have ended up me. It could have been me instead of him.... CLIFTON - A 25-year-old man is behind bars today on some unusual charges. Hungry and drunk, Chico Smith allegedly forced open two doors at an apartment on Flora Street Saturday and helped himself to chicken wings and soda, according to Hamilton County court records. The total value of his theft, according to court records: $8. Linkage” 4:48:47 AM 5/25/07 “Sometimes you just don't even have enough money to do a drunk White Castle run. Can you imagine how happy he was to discover wings? Come on!! Who keeps left over wings in their apartment? That was serendipity!!” 7:35:34 AM 5/25/07 “Yeah I see this everyday...POOR WITTLE MAN...then I run their criminal background.... http://www.drc.state.oh.us/OffenderSearch/Details.aspx?id=A526038&pg=x One thing I have found is that most of these people didn't get born at 25. Chico here made decisions. I am pretty sure he was not a responsible or respectful student in school. I am pretty sure he never tried to do anything but GET WHAT HE COULD GET. I don't know how many of you have been victims (I mean real victims) or had to deal with victims of scum like this but it is a whole lot different than TV shows. Chico got time for a 4th degree felony for Intimidation of a witness. To me burning him for that means there was some plea bargaining going on. Meaning they were trying to get him off the street (like Capone being burned for tax evasion). I am betting chico is some third rate punk with a rap sheet and victim list thats a WHOLE lot worse.” 8:08:57 AM 5/25/07 “LOL @ Ruby! Yeah I bet he thought he scored.” 8:28:14 AM 5/25/07 “LOL..IN Georiga we have to SHOOT first law...so far three pieces of human debris have learned this the hard way.” 8:38:56 AM 5/25/07 “"Hungry and Drunk...." Too bad he didn't buy food instead of alcohol with his money... XL, I'm a big believer in responsibility as well, but I usually go a little easier on someone for stealing food. If someone is hungry that's a litle different than stealing your car or breaking & entering to steal your possessions to sell for drug money.” 10:12:34 AM 5/25/07 “I agree wanderer and I am one of those who if accosted by an urban outdoorsman will offer to get them a burger or something...usually I get cussed out. THe problem is that the major health concern of the "down and out" is not starvation but often Obesity. This guy probably used the "i was hungry" line as a cover for his actions. What I was saying in reply to Nigal's comment is this guy is not a "man down on his luck." It is very apparent he has been doing as he damn well pleases for years. He is a predator on society. Years ago I worked with a police department (while finishing my degree) and had to work a particularly violent rape case. The guy had broken into the house, and in the process of getting his freak on had almost killed a 16 year old girl. In court I watched his attorney do the job an attorney does. Then the guy got some bleeding heart "PSSSSSHYCOLOGIST" up there to talk about he didn't realize what he was doing was wrong. And the Doctor made the closing statement,"We must consider that But for the Grace of GOD we would be there too." Hell this guy had taken what he wanted since he was 13 years old ( he was in his 20s at that point). We were sheep for him to kill in his opinion. He ended up getting 10 years, out in 2 and two weeks later was in the process of a robbery when he decided to participate in the ill advised sport of attempting to stop a shotgun shell in flight with his body.” 1:36:29 PM 5/25/07 “LOL, I believe Nigal was trying to say that in a different life he might have been the drunk beligerent guy who kicks in peoples doors for chicken wings. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a spree of chicken wing theft here in the near future. I'm selling him out for the reward ;^)” 10:30:59 PM 5/26/07 “What chew talkin' about? In a not so far off life I'd kick in doors for hot wings sober. LOL!” 10:41:04 PM 5/26/07 “Just stoppin' by to say "Hi Nigal!" If you were hungry I'd make you a P&J sandwich and then make you share!” 12:56:01 AM 5/27/07 “Well as I live and breath! FREEDOM! How are things going out in the wild wild west? Has the boy started grade school yet? :P” 8:21:40 AM 5/27/07 “OKAY...this is a US SENATOR from Ohio....it is very possible he is a bigger idiot than Isakson from Ga. http://hotair.com/archives/2007/06/27/audio-voinovich-humiliates-himself-in-shamnesty-debate-with-hannity/” 11:59:00 AM 6/28/07 “Congress approval rating is it's lowest since 1973 @ 14%. Bush's is in the 20%s. Some 80% of Americans are against this bill and yet they keep on trucking as if we are too dumb stupid to understand issues. And of course talk radio is being blamed for it. They're all a bunch of self serving morons.” 12:55:20 PM 6/28/07 “Now they are talking the FAIRNESS doctrine.” 1:30:01 PM 6/28/07 “Suit over corpses posed in morgue settles CINCINNATI, Ohio (AP) -- An Ohio county agreed Tuesday to pay $8 million to settle a lawsuit over photos taken of posed bodies in its morgue. Hamilton County will pay the money to 532 families during a two-year period, formally apologize to them and make sure offensive photos and copies are destroyed under an agreement that must be approved by U.S. District Judge S. Arthur Spiegel. The settlement also includes grief counseling and a memorial. The photos were of bodies posed with fruit, doll house furniture and other props. The photographer, Thomas Condon, said he took them as part of an art project to illustrate the cycle of life from birth through death. He was convicted in 2001 of eight counts of gross abuse of a corpse for taking the pictures. His 2½-year sentence was reduced to 18 months on appeal. "The current settlement, based on unauthorized manipulation and photography of bodies over a four-month period in the morgue, is viewed by both sides as a fair compromise, particularly with the focus on continuing improvement at the Coroner's Office," said a joint statement by the county and plaintiffs. Hamilton County Commissioner Todd Portune said those responsible are no longer in county government and that current officials pledge to remain vigilant. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/law/08/22/morgue.suit.ap/index.html?eref=rss_latest” 12:13:45 PM 8/22/07 “Art???” 12:17:00 PM 8/22/07 “this is really funny coming from one of the most conservative cities in the country” 12:18:04 PM 8/22/07 “Add the joke to the punch line: "Really? It tasted like shrimp?"” 1:02:39 PM 8/22/07 “Art???” that he did it without permission is highly offensive. doesnt make it not art, however.” 7:13:42 AM 8/23/07 “Remember when ART was totally PRIVATELY funded?” 7:15:41 AM 8/23/07 “whats your point?” 7:17:54 AM 8/23/07 “How's the flooding? Gone down yet?” 7:19:56 AM 8/23/07 “Man I was hatin' Ohio yesterday. It was so damn hot and humid it was miserable. Even when the humidity went down and the wind picked up it was just blowing hot air around.” 7:26:44 AM 8/23/07 “you should come to southeast asia. the humidity here makes me miss the relatively dry midwest summers” 7:28:40 AM 8/23/07 “For as long as there has been a governing authority that authority has funded the arts.” 7:42:55 AM 8/23/07 ““Remember when ART was totally PRIVATELY funded?" Ha ha!! Yes, I remember that was like.............NEVER.” 8:31:05 AM 8/23/07 “BUZZZZ...sorry Marky Mark...wrongo. As usual YOu are WRONG...pretty much prior to the Screw Deal and the Works Project crap of the FDR administration (who lied to us and got us into a WAR in Italy) it was pretty much art funded privatly Oh Crash you said SouthEast Asia..>I thought you were in Korea?” 9:21:22 AM 8/23/07 “".....it was pretty much art funded privatly." Not sure what that means. "Remember when ART was totally PRIVATELY funded?" Why did you say "totally", numbskull? Smoking crack again?” 9:28:27 AM 8/23/07 “I don't think it's the government's job to pay for art. As with all things is something has sufficient worth then it will be able to support itself.” 9:34:33 AM 8/23/07 “You need to narrow and be more specific in your statement XL as the government has been a consistent purchaser and commissioner of various forms of art since it's inception as has every other government. By funding I assume you are referring to specific grants to individual artists and private galleries.” 9:40:04 AM 8/23/07 “BTW WTF does art funding have to do with government employees letting unauthorized individuals futz with bodies of the recently dead?” 9:41:17 AM 8/23/07 2:33:04 PM 10/03/07 “A state legislator surprised a high school class when the computer he was using projected a photo of a nude woman during a lecture on how a bill becomes a law. Obviously the slide of the naked chick was part of the "How special interest groups influence law makers to pass a bill into a law." section of the lecture. LOL!” 2:36:02 PM 10/03/07 “Thanks for bringing this thread up btw because I saw something that can only be seen in Ohio. Ya know how some fire departments have signs out front with safety warnings on them? I saw one today that said, no shlt, "Drinking and mowing doesn't cut it!" Only in Ohio baby!” 2:37:35 PM 10/03/07 Jump to Page << prev
