Hey folks here’s the story ’bout minnie the moocher
She was a lowdown hoocie coocher
She was the roughest toughest frail
But minnie had a heart as big as a whale

Hidehidehidehi (hidehidehidehi)
Hodehodehodeho (hodehodehodeho)
Hedehedehedehe (hedehedehedehe)
Hidehidehideho (hidehidehideho)

She messed around with a bloke named smokie
She loved him though he was cokey
He took her down to chinatown
And showed her how to kick the gong around

Hidehidehidehi (hidehidehidehi)
Whoah (whoah)
Hedehedehedehe (hedehedehedehe)
A hidehidehideho (hidehidehideho)

She had a dream about the king of sweden
He gave her things that she was needin’
He gave her a home built of gold and steel
A diamond car with platinum wheels

A hidehidehidehidehidehidehi (hidehidehidehidehidehidehi)
Hodehodehodehodehodehodeho (hodehodehodehodehodehodeho)
... (...)
... (...)

He gave her his townhouse and his racing horses
Each meal she ate was a dozen courses
Had a million dollars worth of nickels and dimes
She sat around and counted them all a million times

Hidehidehidehi (hidehidehidehi)
Hodehodehodeho (hodehodehodeho)
Hedehedehedehe (hedehedehedehe)
Hidehidehideho (hidehidehideho)

Poor min, poor min, poor minnie

Seriously, if you (or anyone else reading this thread) is ever in Chicago, let me know. I would take you out for lunch, drinks, and/or dinner. I bet WoundedKnee would join in that invitation.

I've always wanted to camp at the Indiana dunes place and then take the train into Chicago for the day. Camping AND I get to see the big beautiful city of Chicago? It's a win win.

you could go to nordhouse dunes and crash at one of our houses then se the sights with a tour guied (EX: Wounded Knee)

See, the idea is to camp CLOSE to Chicago so I could camp and then see Chicago. Nordhouse isn't even close to Chicago for a day trip into the city.

Hey Smoochie-Woochie, just an FYI for ya. Nothing yet from the USPS regarding a package. Not sure if we've reached the 30 days yet. I'm not worried. Glad you insured it. Just wanted to give you the heads up.

I hope you insured it for $500.

Yay! Good news. I checked with my punk neighbor to see if he had your package, but no dice. So for the heck of it I called the post office. I was told I had a package there waiting for me. I asked her about being notified, and she said I should have received at least one notice if not more by now. Of course, I had not. I hate my post office. Their service really really stinks.

But she did confirm that the return address is yours. So call off the investigation.

I found your package!!!!!

Just put up the tarptent after work. Seems cool, but I'm not sure I'm putting it up right.

It said the corners on the entrance end should be up around 8-9". They didn't seem to be. And it didn't seem taut along the lower edges, but maybe that is no problem? (I see it has guy lines and read you shouldn't use them unless there's bad wind, and even then, not too taut)

gonna be using it this weekend in temps below 30 (WHICH SUCKS!!! by the way).

any helpful advice? I'm still not sure how exactly you're supposed to set the built in floor up, by detaching or tightening which elastics. I mean, it's there, but doesn't seem quite right.

aaaack! BUT i am excited to be using it. And sliding around in it, cuz i haven't seam sealed anything yet, neither seams nor *wink* floor.

What a weight saver!!! Now I can take my steeekin' heavy sleeping bag. LOL!

Temps below 30 with you geting as cold as you do.
Gonna be 'airish' for you.

Wear a warm cap to bed.

I have found that pulling the front corner lines more forward than aft and staking makes the TarpTent more taut.

gojo is jonesieing for a free Pepsi stove for his AT hike like I made for Crash Bang. ;-)

I guess I'll have to make him one in a week or so. ;-)

I do make good ones. I can say that because the ones I made for both Crash and lizsbaby survived them. Well, lizsbaby did something unspeakable to hers and I'm not sure I would wish to use that one again.
