It's about -10 right now, the low is -26 tonight. Brrrr! It was -46 two weeks ago. Ahhh West Yellowstone. It's fun to go outside and throw a cup of hot water in the air and watch it mist up and fall frozen to the ground. I recently made the mistake of rushing out the door to work when I still had water in my ears. The water froze between the parking lot and the front door of the office. My ears were clicking all morning.” 2:40:44 AM 2/01/07 “13 with 25 mph winds...that makes it -5 or some such nonsense. One more errand later thats it. Colder yet sunday. Winter came hard.” 3:04:30 PM 2/03/07 “They should be playing the Super Bowl in this kind of weather! Pu$$ies!!! :)” 3:07:58 PM 2/03/07 “If the game was in Chicago tommorrow, forcasted high is -3.” 3:11:31 PM 2/03/07 “Fireplace is howling! I have some lamb that I'm going to cook on the grill outside, along with some other viddles for dinner tonight. Cuddle alert! FYAO -- D-Town has begun!!!” 3:14:46 PM 2/03/07 “It's -0.4 degrees here according to Weather Underground. Windwhipping => -30 windchill. No end in sight..well maybe 10 days out.” 4:06:43 PM 2/03/07 “...but, but, but, but, the groundhog didn't see its shadow....isn't there a warranty on that or sumpin'?” 4:20:23 PM 2/03/07 “Q, sounds like our night. The woodstove has the house all warmed up, Sass has homemade mac-n-cheese in the oven. Got a couple videos, let the R&R begin.” 4:23:22 PM 2/03/07 “"Q, sounds like our night." Big tip of the Heiney to y'all! May the igloo be warm tonight, and snuggly!” 4:30:25 PM 2/03/07 “I think the weather gods overheard me talking about how the 5 minute walk to my new job wasn't that big of a deal. You see, I used to work in the Prudential Building in Chicago. The train I take to and from the city on a daily basis lets off in the basement of this building. For 5 years, I would get off the train then walk up a few flights of stairs, then up into the elevator and onto the 28th floor. Never had I to brave the elements. This all changed last week, which is about when winter decided to show up here in Chicago. Have you ever had tears from your eyes freeze to your face because of the cold? No, I wasn't crying, but the cold actually made my eyes tear up, then freeze to my face. Okay, naw call me a pousie!” 10:41:34 AM 2/07/07 “pousie” 10:53:31 AM 2/07/07 “Snot freezing solid in and around your nose hurts more. Thankfully I had that happen only once when I was a kid.” 11:00:54 AM 2/07/07 “Thankfully my nose was not running.” 11:10:10 AM 2/07/07 “Lol! Sometimes I'm glad I don't live in Michigan any more. That's one of my more painful memories.” 11:11:52 AM 2/07/07 “Been there WK, last winter I was working in downtown Denver and had about a five block walk from my parking lot. There were a few days when I would have gladly paid the robbery charges had the building lot not been full.” 11:18:02 AM 2/07/07 “the regular temp today is atleast 30 here, but man, I was just pumping gas into my car and the wind chill was killing me. It was painfull. They took away the gadgets that hold the handle in place so you can sit in your car while it pumps and I forgot my gloves. I am finally starting to thaw out.” 11:26:25 AM 2/07/07 “Yeah, I feel like I haven't seen those little holdy-gadgets in awhile! Did they take those out for some particular reason?” 11:34:28 AM 2/07/07 “Use your gas cap to prop the lever in the "on" position. It still automatically shuts off when full.” 11:46:55 AM 2/07/07 “How cold has it been in Vuh-Mont?” 11:48:12 AM 2/07/07 “I won't call you a "pousie" for dealing with the cold, but I will call you a #&%!$ for writing "pousie".” 11:50:36 AM 2/07/07 “Okay, I gotta make this work. How about P u s s y ? last edited: 2/07/07 11:52:03 AM” 11:51:33 AM 2/07/07 “Because some idiot sued because one of a thousand didn't click off.” 11:51:55 AM 2/07/07 “Oh really, well I'll be darned...just wondering. Well since winter finally started approx. 2 weeks ago, it's been f-f-freezing! It's been below 0 several times...I just praise the lord I don't have to go outside in the mornings to go to work. :-D” 11:54:43 AM 2/07/07 “In New Jersey they won't let you pump your own gas. I ran into that a few times while road-tripping on a motorcycle. "Just let me get off the dang thing before ya start pumping!" Gasoline nutz has got to be far worse than tennis balls.” 11:55:09 AM 2/07/07 “There was just something in the news about some guy at a beach who emerged from the water with the normal shrinkage and sat in his slatted beach chair. Evidently he dangled a little, slipped between the slats, things returned to normal and he was stuck. They had to cut the chair away from him. Wasn't you, was it?” 11:59:02 AM 2/07/07 “Oooooh, the Crack Of Doom!” 12:00:26 PM 2/07/07 “Some gas stations around here removed the clicky things because the auto-shutoff failed. Meanwile the patron is inside the gas station dropping the kids off at the pool.” 1:19:31 PM 2/07/07 “You know it is cold when your nose hairs start to freeze together as you walk to your car... -3 degrees here this morning... much colder with the wind chill. BRRRR” 5:53:44 AM 12/06/07 “-12 here and it's only starting to get good.” 6:53:17 AM 12/06/07 “Bring it on!” 6:56:34 AM 12/06/07 “I usually trim mine back a little.” 8:03:43 AM 12/06/07 “High of 51 expected today - that's cold for here!” 8:17:34 AM 12/06/07 “What kind of carpet to people have where it's cold? Berber.” 8:24:51 AM 12/06/07 “That was really bad johnny. The radio said it was 11 degrees on my way to work this AM.” 8:27:57 AM 12/06/07 “It was 31 this morning. Brrr” 8:48:05 AM 12/06/07 “That BA Bag will come in handy, huh?” 10:21:54 AM 12/06/07 “It's older than a pitcher's mitt.” 10:31:19 AM 12/06/07 “The thermometer's still reading 39 here, but the weather pros are predicting 71 degrees for saturday and for several days next week. That's insane.” 10:33:00 AM 12/06/07 “71 degrees? What's that? It a loooong way away.... I know that” 1:22:54 PM 12/06/07 “It was 6F when I left the house this morning. -3F about 15 miles to the north.” 1:25:29 PM 12/06/07 “My office is frigid. #^$%! maintenance people came 2 weeks ago and decided that I had too much heat (really?) in my office...so they changed something...and now it's butt cold. #$&^*@ morons.” 9:17:00 AM 2/07/08 “yeah it's cold, here in SoCal we got frost on the grass in the morning!” 9:18:45 AM 2/07/08 “I don't care about the cold outside. It's NW Montana...it's always cold out there. LOL I just don't want to be cold inside at work. Bah!” 9:25:34 AM 2/07/08 “It was 62 in my house when I got up. Dang cold. ;-)” 9:27:40 AM 2/07/08 “It's Thursday so it's hot in the office today. The way it works here is: Monday morning - Cold Monday afternoon - Hot Tuesday - Hot Wednesday - Cold Thursday - Hot Most of Friday - Hot Friday after 3PM - Cold It's never at comfortable.” 9:27:43 AM 2/07/08 “go buy a heater at lunchtime the small ones are pretty cheap.” 9:27:59 AM 2/07/08 “My office used to be like that, lumber. The thermostat was in the secretary area, but controlled a much larger area. Most of the secretaries were going through menopause. It was hell for everyone else till the Chief Engineer got fed up and set the thermostat himself, and threatened to fire anyone that changed it without his permission.” 9:35:56 AM 2/07/08 “That's the thing the Thermostat is set to turn everything on and off at the same time every day. No one can touch it but the building owner. Ah the joys of working in a building built around 1900 with hot water radiator heat and one thermostat per floor. last edited: 2/07/08 9:44:23 AM” 9:43:44 AM 2/07/08 “if its that cold why the heck are you friggin'?” 9:50:15 AM 2/07/08 ““if its that cold why the heck are you friggin'?” Hog On Ice 12:50:15 PM 2/07/08 Have to keep warm somehow.” 9:51:03 AM 2/07/08 Jump to Page << prev
