So what are you planning to get?
Next on my gear list are the following items:

SD Clip Flashlight 3, so I can take both kids backpacking if I want to.

Pocket Rocket stove, so I can have a light stove that is more controllable, for said trips with kids.

Actual real 0F sleeping bag. The Campmor 0F is more like a 15F or 20F.

Anybody else got gear buying plans for the future that you already know about? Or a piece of gear you're drooling over but have to save up for?

I am with you on the bags Bit. I need a new worthy 20 degree and 0 degree bag.

Probably some new rain gear and maybe a new tent (tarp tent) in the near future.

Ah yes, the anonymity of the Internet...

I think after I get the above things, I'll pretty much have all the gear I really need, unless I break something, or they come out with a new version of the TerraQuest.

I\'d like to replace the old Ereka! Timberlite with a REI Half Dome for the rare times the wife goes.

Have you checked Ebay for Pocket Rockets Bit? I\'ve seen some pretty cheap ones on there.

As a fatter of macts, there\'s a brand new one for $25 on there right now.

Duh, no. I did find a new Clip 3 for $140 the other day, which is pretty cheap for the Clip 3.

I too want a MSR Pocket Rocket, my canister stove (Coleman Outlander) weighs 10.1oz, as compared to 3oz for the MSR. I'm getting a new 0 degree bag for Xmas, but I'm afraid it might be the Campmor, as that was the cheapest on my wish list. Oh, and I want a new pair of windstopper gloves as I burnt the hell out of the fingers on mine on the Thunder Swamp trip. I could go on, like down socks (very cool Pennsy) but I wont be greedy. Happy Holidays everybody!

I've got a white gas stove, it's just heavy. A Coleman Dual-Fuel, I think is what it is. But at least I do have one.

Color coordination is important in a young girl's life.

Color coordination? Ladies, when I see a man with brown shoes and black anything else I think straight single male or foreign male. I happen to be the rare straight male that knows this is wrong.

What do you think?

Now to end on a real note - I'm contemplating purchasing walking poles. I have some F*ed up knees and am worried about theire future.

My right knee does a reacurring dislocation-snap-back-into-place trick (suplication of the right patella, especially in lateral moves. And my left kneecap sits a little left of center and caused me great pain the first time I carried a heavy pack.

No major problems in the back-country yet, although I wear a serious knee brace for my left, prescribed for anytime I carry weight.

Maybe poles will help keep me truckin longer?

I'd get...
the double wall snow peak coffee cup if it had a stinkin lid to go with it. I hate dirt in my coffee. And stovey...why be such a cheap beastard, spend the stinkin money...you've saved it in so many other ways. silly you.
