Any advice or words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.” 6:07:00 PM 12/20/04 “What's being a women got to do with it?????” 6:08:36 PM 12/20/04 “men look sexy unshaved for a little while. Women don't!! damn, and I sure don't hope you are shaving your legs and armpits BM. last edited: 12/20/04 6:11:53 PM” 6:10:58 PM 12/20/04 “bm, do you shave your legs and pits in the woods??” 6:11:41 PM 12/20/04 “I believe being a woman has everything to do with it Bearmagnet.” 6:14:33 PM 12/20/04 “Only if two hotties are doing the shaving.........................or one.............or they ask me to as a prelude to some fun.” 6:14:45 PM 12/20/04 “i'll shave if i need to. why not wax if you go for longer periods? if you go really long...well, shave!! No way I'll start growing a bush anywhere were it don't belong. No way! I pull 'em out if I need to stay "baby smooth" for longer. last must longer. Hurts though at first. you'll get used to it. last edited: 12/20/04 6:21:26 PM” 6:14:54 PM 12/20/04 “No way I'll start growing a bush anywhere. No way! =O” 6:18:56 PM 12/20/04 “I don't shave when on trail... anywhere.” 6:19:39 PM 12/20/04 “This thread ought to really take off now.” 6:20:02 PM 12/20/04 “uhhhhhh roamy sexeyyyyyyy” 6:20:12 PM 12/20/04 “Does the treasure trail thread still exist?” 6:21:36 PM 12/20/04 “I am definetly going to try this waxing thing. Do you know how lond it takes to start growing back?” 6:23:11 PM 12/20/04 “Women wax their pits??????? OUCH!” 6:25:42 PM 12/20/04 “troll-ee, troll-ee, troll, troll” 6:26:57 PM 12/20/04 “yeah, that sounds painful! ouch! but, hey, if thats what they gotta do, well, then i guess thats what they gotta do. But seriously, after a few days on the trail, a little stubble is to be expected.” 6:27:26 PM 12/20/04 “They gotta? B/C Cosmo says so? Suckers. ;)” 6:28:26 PM 12/20/04 “20 minutes to ID tangerine as a troll?! Man, you guys are losing your touch....” 6:30:20 PM 12/20/04 “I'm sorry. I didn't want to get yelled at. :) Besides, I like the topic.” 6:31:31 PM 12/20/04 “Why should women shave on the trail? Men don't. Why does a woman have to look sexy on the trail? That implies that a woman is trolling for men on the trail, or is overly concerned with looks at the expense of other issues. Besides, shaving opens one up to infection. I've met women who don't shave on the trail and conversed long into the night with them. It's never interfered with anything.” 6:32:42 PM 12/20/04 “Yeah, what geo said! Or are you looking for men? Please note - shaving or not shaving will in no way deter me from trying to share a sleeping bag with you. So, no worries if you forgot your shaving kit, K?” 6:35:54 PM 12/20/04 “Personally I am uncomfortable with stubble. Especially someplace as sensitive as arm pits. Nothing to do you guys (sorry)! Don't you guys get the itchy scratchy feel when you don't shave your face for a few days?” 6:39:21 PM 12/20/04 “Tango, if I don't shave in a few days I have a beard...lol” 6:41:42 PM 12/20/04 “I often go a few days without shaving so I guess I'm used to it. The face isn't as sensitive as the pits....what about your legs, Tango? Does the "scratchy" feeling drive ya nuts?” 6:44:37 PM 12/20/04 “When I don't shave for 4-5 days my skin (legs) gets red and irritated no fun when out on the trail. My husband doesn't care if I have hairy legs, I am the one who cares.” 6:48:44 PM 12/20/04 “waxing hurts like a mofo...” 6:54:35 PM 12/20/04 “a little hot wax followed by an ice cube never hurt anyone last edited: 12/20/04 7:00:06 PM” 6:59:51 PM 12/20/04 “oooh... i'll have to keep that in mind.. sounds fun.” 7:01:11 PM 12/20/04 “I've used candle wax and ice cubes but never in one session. I would think the extreme would be too much?” 7:16:15 PM 12/20/04 “sounds kinky. let me put it on my to do list.” 7:17:42 PM 12/20/04 “How about Halls mentho-liptus?” 7:26:23 PM 12/20/04 “I never shave on the trail. To me, that's one of the perks of being out in the woods, and one less thing to worry about. But then again, far more ladies seem to like bearded guys than guys who like hairy legs...” 7:38:52 PM 12/20/04 “yea,... rugged men are H O T” 7:41:14 PM 12/20/04 ““How about Halls mentho-liptus?” oh come on, who hasn't done that” 7:41:34 PM 12/20/04 “LOL Scorch! You might be surprised.” 7:44:17 PM 12/20/04 “Why does a woman have to look sexy on the trail? That implies that a woman is trolling for men on the trail, or is overly concerned with looks at the expense of other issues. Geobeet 6:32:42 PM 12/20/04 Lets not take this too far; some gear company wacko might read this and get the stupid idea of trying to sell stilletto hiking boots and fishnet long johns. And the real tragedy for all us males would be a t-shirt for females made of water-repellant materials so it DOESN'T get wet. Think about it!” 8:58:36 PM 12/20/04 “Reminds me of a thread on bicycling.com about whether guys shave their legs or not. I don't shave (my face) on trips.” 9:05:53 PM 12/20/04 “Just as long as the women are sittin' on their whiskers.........” 10:01:51 PM 12/20/04 “get the stupid idea of trying to sell stilletto hiking boots and fishnet long johns. oooh, good idea.. jk” 2:45:47 AM 12/21/04 “Scorchfire thinks I am hot?” 7:18:55 AM 12/21/04 “well duh” 8:02:57 AM 12/21/04 “I don't shave on hiking trips, but it's been two years since I've been out more than two nights.” 8:18:31 AM 12/21/04 “I don't shave (my face) on trips.” Pathman 10:05:53 PM 12/20/04 Legs and pits?” 9:27:03 AM 12/21/04 “Shaving after a 4 day trip is a new experience in pain.” 9:29:23 AM 12/21/04 “never, nor my back or chest.” 9:34:13 AM 12/21/04 Content unsuitable for Canucks “Gotta go now; this thread is starting to turn me on.” 11:32:56 AM 12/21/04 This is simple Tangerine “Assuming you truly are a female just do the same thing you do at home. Put some soap and a razor in your pack and go to it at the first available opportunity. If you need some light just ask the guys and they'll all stand around with their headlamps blazing. Be sure wear a thong or less and you won't have any problems. Problem solved. Next!” 11:40:46 AM 12/21/04 “Less would be best. Although my headlamp may not be steady.” 11:48:11 AM 12/21/04 ““I am looking to see how other women handle the hair on their legs and pits while out in the wild or how they don't handle it. Any advice or words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.” tangerine 6:07:00 PM 12/20/04 Assuming every piece of gear should have more than one use...... two words.... Duct Tape.” 11:48:30 AM 12/21/04 “I agree, it's a hygene issue. I usually just carry a disposable razor and some glycerin soap. The disposable razor is *somewhat* re-usable as long as I keep it well rinsed and keep the blades covered when not in use. It has a hollow handle so the weight is negligible. I keep the soap in a little plactic jar. You can get those at samples section of Walmart but a lot of outfitters carry smaller ones that I like better. Also, I've found that the glycerin soap rinses easier than other soaps. LOL @ all the guys! Our neighbor regularly shaves her legs on her back porch and there ain't nothin' sexy about that! We like to call her Pat. Poor G00SE!!! He's been driven in from working out in the yard several times this year by that spectacle.” 1:22:59 PM 12/21/04
