A few more Kings Canyon backpacking picsView Messages“Yo Buck.... Awesome pics dude!!! Thanks for sharing. I enjoy you commentary as well. That's some funny stuff. Peace out and God Bless..........” 2:20:12 PM 1/27/05 “Man Buck I can't seem to close my mouth. Gawd thats beautiful work.” 7:22:13 PM 1/27/05 “I still don't understand why you haven't gone pro, or have you ;) Loved them all, I too saw my first(back country) Black Bear in Sequoia, I swear they are more prominent in SEKI than Yosemite especially since I saw four on that trip(my first Sequoia trip) and haven't seen a one in Yosemite's dozens of nights in the backcountry. You have inspired me to take my (real)tripod on the JMT this summer and invest in some ND grad filters. Thinking the Conkin set-up would be nice. Thanks again for the inspiration!” 8:28:54 PM 1/27/05 “Hey Brian...oops I mean Buck...sorry dude, didn't mean to blow your cover. Ever been to Kings Canyon? I hear it's a beautiful place.” 11:39:18 PM 1/27/05 “Wow! Great pics! The clarity and crispness of the shots lends one to feel as if they are standing right there, looking out into the wilderness. I don't even think my own eyes could capture those shots by just being there and looking. I always love the look of gray mountains with color in the foreground.” 12:16:55 AM 1/28/05 “If you don't mind giving away secrets I have a question. Are the shots morning shots or did you use nd filters on day time shots? Do you mark your tripod spots for others 8) JK.” 1:54:39 PM 1/28/05 “Gracias for the el complimentos jvc, I can't give away top-secret government secrets, not just for my sake but for the safety of my family and my country, but I can reveal the info you requested for these photos. The only one I used a GND on these was Upper State Lake, which was an evening reflection shot. The others were taken mid-morning or mid-afternoon. I took GPS coordinates where I set my tripod each time, but I can't reveal those because it's covert information. I set my tripod on clandestine underground tunnel openings that lead to a massive network of underground tunnels throughout the region. Actually the entire Sierra Nevada is riddled with a super highly classified network of tunnels and and underground cities, some containing backward engineered alien aircraft and exotic zoos filled with various aliens and sasquatch species. There are also lots of... wait, I shouldn't be saying this. Not here, not now. I'm in trouble. Don't say anything, okay? Hey webmaster matt, can you delete this post? Uh oh, there goes my freaking muthuh-lovin' shoe phone again. This is big. If you guys never see me again, I loved you. Seriously. All of you. Bye. *poof*” 3:03:56 PM 1/28/05 “There he goes *poofing* again 8) Beautiful Photos Buck... I love those early morning reflection shots....the water looks like glass!” 3:47:53 PM 1/28/05 “You think you're sly but you inadvertently gave me just enough information.Mooohhaaaa.” 3:56:40 PM 1/28/05
