I like it! And when you're forty something can we all change the saying to "40 is the new 18"?[i]

Trust me, thirty is more fun than twenty five. =)

My Dad counted down the days to his AARP card arriving, lol. He's a bargain hunter (now you know where I get it) and had mental lists of all the places that were going to give him senior discounts.

Note from an ancient one here..Lets see...my granny lived to 100...at 94 she looked in the mirror...looked at me and said "who is that old broad in the mirror?" "I feel like I'm 18 inside" I will be 50 in April and most people guess a minimum of 10 or more yrs. younger in person...my mom will be 88 in Feb....Looks bout 60...most of my relatives have lived a very active life past their mid 90's... my daughter will be 22 in Feb. but she gripes that folks think she is 15. It's all relative.... (no pun...though I'm lucky to have inherited some dang good genes)I know folks in their 20's who act like they are headed for the last roundup....I feel vibrant...alive...(touching shoulder..arm...other assorted parts of anatomy...yup..I'm alive..lol)and the best I've every felt in my life. Time capsule this thread and see how the younger folks feel about 'age' in a few years, lol....Spirit...keep living as you please..I've been there...done that as you are now...etc. ya know...we can only speak from our own experiences ...well duh...but age ain't so bad hon, nothing to fear...just a wonderful future to look forward to...

I think most of the posters on TT are over 30 it seems.

I was so excited. Last Friday I went to a bar and the bouncer looked at my ID, looked at me and said "Damn! You look good!" Woo Hoo for me! I'm going to be 34 in a little over a month!

And btw I had to really think about how old I will be in a month. The older I get, the less I think about what my age is. I have a new appreciation for the term "30 something."

The hardest part about my age is trying to tie it in with a birth year. I should pick one age and stick to it, especially when I'm drunk.

Spirit Coyote.
I have always looked really young too. I was still getting carded every time until about a year and a half ago. And now when I do get carded they are always surprised when they look at my birth year. I would be like everyone else and tell you to enjoy it, except I know how annoying it used to be...
And there are some young people who have no business in halter tops and short skirts either...

I won't shave, the growth of new hair is not pleasant.
A girl I dated once asked me to shave, I asked her why. She said it reminded her on her ex husband. I refused...damn didn't get any :(

Well, when I was 27 (and still getting carded...especially when I wore my way below my butt hair in pigtails)I was expecting my first child and had my hair cut for the first time in 15 years, because I wanted to look 'more mature' since I was going to be a mommie, (and hair that long was like caring for another child in itself). WELLLLL, didn't work ... people thought I was younger..... and even way before then..I had more taste than wear tacky clothes in public...( Ewker you have that pix before I cut my hair? lol)
