Look at this...
According to their ad in paddling magazine, the recommended retail for this boat is 360 dollars....

Seems like the perfect flatwater travel boat...

oh no do not get one
It sucked so bad. I bought one a few years ago and used it once. i cried the entire time. It was that bad. i was on a small little river and it was so slow that i had to get a tow from a canoe. so much work just to go no where.
ask twinks about the boat from hell
kept loosing air and it was so hard to paddle
I returned it and had to pay a 25% restocking fee plus s&h to Cal

not worth it. for another $100 or 200 get a real baot!
I bought that one because I lived in an apartment and had no space. I was never ever able to refold it and put it back into duffle bag that it came with.

Yeah, someone told me about them too (folbot) I keep checking 'em out but they do cost a lot.

they ahve a sale righ tnow that ends in feb I think..but all their kayaks are 15% off! That's pretty good. I may drive down there once because lucky me...they are located in SC.

that very same boat
it is very heavy to carry. well it was for me
I would rather rent one then use this one.
it had nothing to offer. it kept pulling to the right. so i had to paddle real hard on the right just to go stright.

I agree with mapleleaf!!!! I paddled one in my first adventure race. Oh my gosh! If I stopped paddling for even one second it just twirled in a circle.

I know you want something that travels but there's got to be another way.

If you get an inflatable...
there are 2 things that are very important...

#1...use it on a moving river. I used one on the New River 3 years ago going thru the rapids and over falls. It was BLAST! very much fun. and

#2...make sure it has more than 1 hole so that you can have sex with it in more than one way...big boobs help too...you know...hand holds and such.

it takes so much time to put them together
they say you can do it in 5 mins or somin like that

yeah right!

you hit a rock or whatever, and bend one of the rods, you elscrewed!
i spent more time baling water.
oh and if you hit a high rock in the water without seeing it,
you will be sitting on ice for a few days after.

hmm did i tell you I really hated that thing?

Do not loan your inflatable kayak to Stikmon (or for that matter, Bearmagnet). Ever.

Don't tell them that NF
Kayaks have a big hole and I need a big hole.

I rented an inflatable kayak once. I hated it. Naturally, it does not cut through water like a fiberglass or plastic one. If your intention is to build up your arm muscles, get an inflatable kayak. Maybe if you are just using it to float down a fast moving river, then it really it may not matter, though they are not as maneuverable as a regular kayak either.

I have a Folbot Aleut and it's my favorite vehicle for river use. Light, quick, tracks well and very durable.
