Threat to National Forests?

“The U.S. is the world's biggest importer of wood and wood products. What is wrong with trying to use some of our under utilized timber reasources. Increasing logging back up to traditional long term levels will be deflationary, help the economy, and reduce our already too high trade deficit. Everyone will thereby be better off with these fair and balanced new rules.”

“Prosecutor ? That sound like a GOOD PLAN. But everytime our government lays out a plan like this and say it will improve our economy or trade deficit where does the MONEY GO!!!! I have my own opinions and i believe alot of planning like this goes to support the wealthy. Our trade deficit was not brought on by the National Forest, but from our own GOV, who handles our destiny. If the GOV, would give in detail that the money will be put in a certain area ie,... into our National Forest, kinda like clean up our trash, Make sure we preserve our wilderness areas, then I would be all for it. Politicians say it will create jobs !!!!! Then when election time comes around they get credit for creating jobs, They don't deserve the credit!!!!! They take what is suppose too be every AMERICAN's National Forest, we all own, and market it to there own fullfillment. They are always looking at areas too make money. Why don't they take a look at what got us into a Trade Deficit in the first place and FIX IT.
