Anyone try the frozen dinners yet? They are about what you'd expect. Not the greatest and not the most filling.

i tried the pizza...and well...you can do this yourself with a peta shell... mine was a little too soft, but I think i may didn't bake it long enough.

Oh...I also had the cold wraps..they are okay...fast...but same thing...not a biggy to do it yourself.

I'm really impressed with the menus in the book and with the cook book. I'd rather just do the cooking than the frozen dinners though.

I've made chicken pizzas using tortilias before but not pitas. The tortilias get nice and crunchy. I did run into some trouble when picking out my food for this weekend. This is what I came up with:

All No-cook

breakfast:
3 hard boiled eggs
cliff bar w/peanutbutter

lunch:

peanutbutter in pita
jerky
baby carrots
cliff bar w/peanutbutter

dinner:
spicy tuna/coleslaw cabbage in a pita
jerky
baby carrots
cliff bar w/peanut butter

The pitas and the carrots are a no-no but I figure if that's the worst thing I eat I'll be OK. Oh and the no alcohol rule is out the window too. Going with scotch and not beer so I should be ok.

Well, sense Monday when I started I have lost 13 pounds. I’m eating great food and I’m eating like crazy. I’d say I’m eating nearly as much as when not on the diet. The food’s a bit more elaborate than I make day to day almost every dish is great. The cost of buying healthy food is a lot more than the processed crap and the cooking is more of a pain than ordering out. I do find myself a bit cranky without my carbs this week but I’m more thrilled with the results.

I did cheat last night and had one single beer and two scotches. The scotch should be too bad and I did deserve the beer. :)

Congrats Nigal! That's quite an accomplishment. You do indeed deserve a beer. If you deny yourself these things I think it only makes you want them all the more. In the scope of your accomplishment your "treat" isn't even a blip on the radar. Cheers!

Try Aspen Edge Nigal, not bad for a low carb beer.
