Any Mid-Atlantic TTers want to go backpa cking?

“I want to go somewhere Friday night and have considered doing a solo, but it's always nice to have someone along. I don't want to drive more than 200 miles though.

If anyone is backpacking, or would like to backpack in the following regions Friday to Saturday lemme know. 'Preciated! :)

I think the ring around the moon is just mistyness.

So far it's go Wednesday and car camp at the gap for one night........me and a couple of the kids, one of whom goes back to college Saturday.

“I was thinking of heading somewhere in PA Thursday - Friday or even Thursday - Saturday possibly base camping somewhere, but it's supposed to warm up and rain. I don't know if I want to spend a couple of cold wet days. Maybe I'll just take the kids and visit my parents. Hiking in the cold and snow yesterday felt so good.”

“I've now missed two TT backpacking trips due to illness and I'm itching to get out. I'm thinking of backpacking next weekend somewhere in NJ, PA or VA. Anyone interested in an overnighter next weekend? Nothing's definite yet, but I thought I would start kicking around some ideas, see if there is any interest.”

“Although the Day hike on Sunday thing might be doable, if you plan something close to the DWG. Buttermilk falls perhaps?”

“they are now saying the conditions tomorrow will be worse than the conditions today. I may be stuck in my apartment again this weekend.

I'm hearing rumours that they may ban all non-4WD vehicles from driving tomorrow. This sucks.
