“This past Sunday, CBS Sunday Morning did a segment on a Scottish artist named Andy Goldsworthy. He creates temporary sculptures out of things found in nature. He's published a good many coffee table books. The segment was very interesting. A sample: http://cgee.hamline.edu/see/goldsworthy/see_an_andy.html” 5:27:20 PM 12/27/04 “He's one of our favorites. He did a big exhibit here about 12 years ago, very cool. I always wanted to pull a "Goldsworthy" in the Smokies.” 6:34:17 PM 12/27/04 “I wondered if yall new about him. I suspected you did. I really thought the tv segment was pretty cool” 5:44:14 AM 12/28/04 “I have a couple of his books and have seen an exibit. More than most artists, time is a profoundly important aspect of his work. Much like a landscape everything is different each time you look. Sometimes subtle sometimes obvious.” 7:35:23 AM 12/28/04 “I'm going to have to get a book or two of his. I love CBS Sunday morning because they profile just this sort of thing. A few years ago they did a thing on a restaurant in Cleveland, MS called KC's. It's run by 2 brothers that have 1 generation Chinese parents. The brothers have southern accents. People come from New Orleans, Mobile, Memphis and all over to this restaurant. It's in the middle of no where. My wife really enjoyed the segment. I found the contact info from the CBS website, setup reservations at the restaurant and a local bed and breakfast and off we went. It was a great trip.” 11:23:53 AM 12/28/04
