Trail Park Pass
Hi you guys! I'm new here. Was curious about what is going on in different parts of the country concerning the U.S. Forest Service's "trail park pass". Like, is it going over big? Is it going down big? What do they charge to walk on our federal lands in your area? I understand the plan is to next raise it to $100 a year. Here, in s.w. Oregon, it is NOT a favorite.

Well...it's when they charge you to walk on any trail. It is also called "fee demo" and "adventure pass" and probably a few other names, too. Here it started out at $20 for a year, and you get ticketed if caught hiking without one on your vehicle that you parked within 1/4 mile of the trailhead. It is being fought against...but the F.S. seems to be winning so far.
