“Spirit Coyote... in a way... they did ask how much trash you generate compared to your neighbors. If you recycle more you produce less.
If you use solar cookers you use less electricity or can consider your house a little more energy efficient.
If you have an organic garden which much of your food comes from you can answer a higher (better percentage) to the question "How much of the food that you eat is processed, packaged and not locally grown"

So in a way they're getting at the same thing.

“Let's see, I use mass transit probably more than most anyone on this board. I don't have the land to grow my own food. I recycle as much as possible. My car gets very good gas mileage. Now, that I think about it, this test is flawed for city people. What a bunch of sh_t! Thanks for posting it anyway! :)”

“Well, it is a simplistic questionaire. One question was how often you flew. I'd bet per capita and per population that there are more Leir (sp) jet owners in NY than just about anywhere else. OTOH, you have more homeless that use almost non of the type of resources listed. Does it balance? Probably not.”

A co-worker eats meat with every meal, but never buys hamburger because he uses venison that he killed. That probably gets a good rating. Thin an overcrowded deer herd and get full doing it.”

“It sort of hinted at recycling by asking if you produced more or less waste than your neighbors. Out of about 30 houses in my neighborhood I usually only see 3-5 recycling bins each week. How hard is it to dump carboard and aluminum in a bin in your garage? Sheesh.”
