Try This... I need 2 planets!View MessagesTake this quis 10:14:27 AM 12/29/04 “Little girlie man, I get 4.7 Planets and have a 21 Acre footprint! last edited: 12/29/04 10:20:18 AM” 10:19:38 AM 12/29/04 “2.9 planets for me :( But it didnt ask any questions about how much we recycle or how much we do voleenteer clean-ups...” 10:21:11 AM 12/29/04 BM you kill me! “ Capt.Jim last edited: 12/29/04 10:28:44 AM” 10:28:20 AM 12/29/04 “Heck, it didnt even ask if we use solar cookers or have organic gardens...I will see if I can find a better one :)” 10:32:25 AM 12/29/04 “ah forget it..they all seem to use the same quiz everywhere I look. I guess I am just bad :(” 10:42:46 AM 12/29/04 In a way they did... “Spirit Coyote... in a way... they did ask how much trash you generate compared to your neighbors. If you recycle more you produce less. If you use solar cookers you use less electricity or can consider your house a little more energy efficient. If you have an organic garden which much of your food comes from you can answer a higher (better percentage) to the question "How much of the food that you eat is processed, packaged and not locally grown" So in a way they're getting at the same thing. Capt. Jim” 10:45:15 AM 12/29/04 “The whole eating meat thing kinda ruined it for me, still, far less than the average american though.” 10:53:43 AM 12/29/04 “I'm also less than the average american.” 11:06:14 AM 12/29/04 “2.8 for me.” 11:14:47 AM 12/29/04 “y2 cheated or he doesn't have a car.” 11:15:58 AM 12/29/04 “A 10 acre footprint and 2.2 planets. The average footprint in my area is 24 acres, so I'm feeling pretty good about this right now.” 12:05:11 PM 12/29/04 “yes, we're only using up tyhe planet's resources at twice to three-times the sutainable rate.” 12:12:23 PM 12/29/04 “CATEGORY ACRES FOOD 3.5 MOBILITY 0.2 SHELTER 4.9 GOODS/SERVICES 3.5 TOTAL FOOTPRINT 12 IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON. WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON. IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 2.7 PLANETS I redid mine changing the food thing cause I do grow a lot of my own food in the summer...” 12:12:23 PM 12/29/04 “CATEGORY ACRES FOOD 5.9 MOBILITY 0.7 SHELTER 4.7 GOODS/SERVICES 4.9 TOTAL FOOTPRINT 16 IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON. WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON. IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 3.7 PLANETS.” 12:15:54 PM 12/29/04 “20 and 4.6 :( I suck” 12:16:43 PM 12/29/04 “bad trebeard!” 12:17:00 PM 12/29/04 “I didn't realize we were breaking it down. Here's mine: CATEGORY ACRES FOOD 5.4 MOBILITY 0.2 SHELTER 2.5 GOODS/SERVICES 1.7 TOTAL FOOTPRINT 10 IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON. WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON. IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 2.2 PLANETS.” 12:19:19 PM 12/29/04 “im not even saying how many planets i am” 1:20:24 PM 12/29/04 “CB...your jsut out of this world :D” 1:21:02 PM 12/29/04 “24 acres and 5.5 planets. Will some of y'all please hurry up and die? You're breathing my air here.” 1:28:44 PM 12/29/04 “~sarcasm font~ the resident loud-mouthed lib gets a worse score than anybody (except me). im surprised he had the cajones to admit it ~end sarcasm font~ last edited: 12/29/04 1:36:29 PM” 1:36:05 PM 12/29/04 “then again, we should cut him a break. he cant help it. hes from new jersey. newark alone probably needs a whole galaxy” 1:37:51 PM 12/29/04 “Let's see, I use mass transit probably more than most anyone on this board. I don't have the land to grow my own food. I recycle as much as possible. My car gets very good gas mileage. Now, that I think about it, this test is flawed for city people. What a bunch of sh_t! Thanks for posting it anyway! :)” 1:46:12 PM 12/29/04 “TB - he was referring to Violin. You sure sounded guilty though. Mine was 4.9 planets. Driving about 250 miles a week for work and eating meat nailed my score.” 1:53:41 PM 12/29/04 “Crash Bang - I thought I told you to die already.” 1:58:42 PM 12/29/04 “yea, treebeard, dont you know youre the resident loud-mouthed jew? vile lynn is the resident loud-mouthed lib” 1:58:58 PM 12/29/04 “sorry, fiddle-bone, i didnt get the memo” 1:59:53 PM 12/29/04 “Yeah, I knew that. I wasn't referring to that. I still think this think is flawed! against libs! and against Jews!! :)” 2:01:52 PM 12/29/04 “no "tree-hugging dirt-worshipper" bumper stickers for me, either. six planets. yowza.” 2:02:09 PM 12/29/04 “hey, CB we have one of those on our car :)” 2:03:43 PM 12/29/04 “yea, nicole, i know. thats what i was thinking of” 2:05:25 PM 12/29/04 “Is it flawed against metro areas or are metros areas inherently large users of resources?” 2:06:03 PM 12/29/04 “btw, i saw the other day that hammond was the birthplace of someone famous but i cant think who it was” 2:06:27 PM 12/29/04 “That's actually a good question, DH. I wonder how, based on the criteria given in the questionaire, a city family's numbers can be that radically different..” 2:07:58 PM 12/29/04 “i would think it would be flawed in favor of metro areas due to more ppl using mass transit and less square footage per person” 2:08:12 PM 12/29/04 “6.3 What'd I win?” 2:09:11 PM 12/29/04 “your own planet!” 2:10:15 PM 12/29/04 “Well, it is a simplistic questionaire. One question was how often you flew. I'd bet per capita and per population that there are more Leir (sp) jet owners in NY than just about anywhere else. OTOH, you have more homeless that use almost non of the type of resources listed. Does it balance? Probably not.” 2:10:39 PM 12/29/04 “CB..hammond was the birth place for micheal jackson. I work with a man that worked with his father for many years :)” 2:10:49 PM 12/29/04 “Precisely, CB. The results don't reflect that...” 2:11:08 PM 12/29/04 “OK, I put zero down for that one. I think I took one flight in the last 6 years.” 2:12:07 PM 12/29/04 “i dont remember it asking anything about recycling. how could they leave that out? i guess that would be embedded in the waste question?” 2:12:44 PM 12/29/04 “I scored high because of our energy use...we have to keep all our 31 animals warm during the winter with extra heaters and lights...someday I hope to have solar roof panals :)” 2:12:55 PM 12/29/04 “The first time my wife ever ate canned vegetables was when she left for college. Her dad's garden is huge. A co-worker eats meat with every meal, but never buys hamburger because he uses venison that he killed. That probably gets a good rating. Thin an overcrowded deer herd and get full doing it.” 2:13:44 PM 12/29/04 “Or you could build a second floor. That would keep your animals a little closer to the sun! Aren't you glad you have me to do your thinking for you?” 2:13:54 PM 12/29/04 “It sort of hinted at recycling by asking if you produced more or less waste than your neighbors. Out of about 30 houses in my neighborhood I usually only see 3-5 recycling bins each week. How hard is it to dump carboard and aluminum in a bin in your garage? Sheesh.” 2:15:03 PM 12/29/04 “sc, you oughta count the spiders as at least an extra person to improve your score” 2:16:24 PM 12/29/04 “we have seven recycle bins and a compsot bin in the garden...we are lucky if we can fill the garbage bin even a fourth of hte way every two weeks.” 2:16:28 PM 12/29/04 “If the meat you eat were human, would ones score decrease?” 2:16:53 PM 12/29/04
