My Freezerbag Cooking Site “http://freewebs.com/freezerbagcooking/ I put up more recipes and links last night. I also fixed some bad HTML, so hopefully all is fixed ;) Btw...if any of you have recipes or links you would like to share, please do! Author credit of course!” 10:50:39 AM 12/29/04 “where the heck do you get veggi flakes? Those recepies sound sooo good! It sure would beat ramon noodles all the time!” 10:56:13 AM 12/29/04 Veggie Flakes “If you are LUCKY enough to have a grocery store that does bulk..look there, in the herbs and spices or near the bulk pasta. Otherwise, hunt down a healthy food store and check out the bulk spice section. Some "soup starters" can be used also. You can also make your own by dehydrating a large bag of tiny cut mixed veggies and wacking the heck out them dried in a food proccesor. Also, there is a site online that sells a ton of dried stuff: http://www.bulkfoods.com/ Though I have not ordered from them :)” 11:00:04 AM 12/29/04 “sarbar - I do a lot of ziplock cooking (too cheap to buy freezer bags) and one thing that I use that may be of interest to you is a cozy that holds the bag upright and open so that you can pour the boiling water in the bag without holding the bag and with much less risk of burns/scalding. This also makes it much easier to "put the bag into the cozy" since all I need to do is to zip up the bag and put a closed cell foam top on the cozy. link” 11:17:31 AM 12/29/04 “Love it! Can I link it on my site? I like to ask permission first :-)” 11:21:24 AM 12/29/04 “where do you get the foam?” 11:23:50 AM 12/29/04 “Now that's very cool!” 11:24:03 AM 12/29/04 “I use a outdoor faucet (boob shaped) insulater nowdays for my cozy. Takes up pack space, but in winter or fall it works very well. Marzsit has created these super ones that even have lids. I'd bet you could get that foam at a harware store.” 11:37:20 AM 12/29/04 “sarbar - its no problem with me if you want to add a link to that page but its Stove Stomper's site that you would be linking to and you might want to check with him also since its his bandwidth we are talking about that particular foam was from a Army surplus sleeping pad approx 12 bucks for a 24 by 72 inch piece including straps to hold it rolled I have also made them from the blue foam sleeping pads from wally world / target” 12:14:42 PM 12/29/04 “I think I have a link to Stovie's site on mine already..lol!” 12:38:13 PM 12/29/04 “Bad sarbar!!!! Bad! Now show me your tats. It's time for your spanking. ;-) Ha Ha, link away! I have not updated my site in a long time. I was even thinking of taking it down.” 1:20:17 PM 12/29/04 “dang SS - I read that as "Now show me your tits." could it be that I am a DOM?” 3:05:01 PM 12/29/04 “Two pervs...just what a girl needs to while away the day with ;-)” 4:31:24 PM 12/29/04 StoveStomper “You can't take your site down. I use it as a reference page when tinkering with stoves and windscreen/pot-supports. So there!” 4:45:44 PM 12/29/04 “I knew I liked that sarbar lady for some reason. ;-) HOI - At least you are an older Dirty Ol Man than me! ;-) Currahee - Thanks, but Sgt. Rock's site has better info. He got me started.” 5:35:08 PM 12/29/04 “I guess that means there is no tit for tat huh sarbar” 6:11:45 PM 12/29/04 “Fair enough. I already have his site in my BP favorites folder.” 6:14:53 PM 12/29/04 “No spanky? Jeez, I thought you guys were gonna be fun... lmao!!” 7:02:45 PM 12/29/04 “Laugh while you can sarbar, hee hee hee. ;-) You still with that guy you talk so much about? I'm going to make a trip to the PNWH in 2005! There's several of you crazies I want to meet.” 7:19:22 PM 12/29/04 “hummm why does the scene from Blazing Saddles where the new sheriff is riding into town comes to mind - time to round up the PNW posse” 7:34:29 PM 12/29/04 This sounds good for some reason “Spinach Couscous: At home in a bowl mix: 1 cup couscous 1 pkg Knorr Cream Of Spinach Soup (find in the soup aisle) 3 Tbls instant milk powder or soy milk powder Also take one 3 oz. pouch of tuna with you per freezer bag. In each of two quart freezer bag put half of the ingredients. Each bag gets a pouch of tuna with it. In camp add approx 1 cup water, and stir well. Let sit for 30 minutes or so, add tuna and eat. Can also be done hot, with boiling water-add tuna before you add the boiling water. Feeds one hiker per bag.” 7:39:25 PM 12/29/04 “"Feeds one hiker per bag." you don't want to know the image that this brings to mind” 7:43:02 PM 12/29/04 “Been a he11 of a lot easyer to say 'Feeds Two'.” 7:43:58 PM 12/29/04 “Trust me boys...I know it feeds one hiker ;-) Us PNWH chickies are known to eat like men on trips. The meat is ours, them men can wait for the handouts..lol!! Just marked my two year anniversary with my man (Synchro)...We bought a house this summer..and now live in suburbia...heck the Posse loves me, because we live in a "Private Lakeside Community"...and our house is right above the lake..oh yeah!” 10:34:20 PM 12/29/04 “Well heck fire! Have Synchro spank you for me. ;-)” 10:08:37 AM 12/30/04 “He does all the time. Lol...pervs :-P” 5:56:25 PM 12/30/04
