I put up more recipes and links last night. I also fixed some bad HTML, so hopefully all is fixed ;)
Btw...if any of you have recipes or links you would like to share, please do! Author credit of course!

Veggie Flakes
If you are LUCKY enough to have a grocery store that does bulk..look there, in the herbs and spices or near the bulk pasta. Otherwise, hunt down a healthy food store and check out the bulk spice section.
Some "soup starters" can be used also.
You can also make your own by dehydrating a large bag of tiny cut mixed veggies and wacking the heck out them dried in a food proccesor.
Also, there is a site online that sells a ton of dried stuff:
http://www.bulkfoods.com/
Though I have not ordered from them :)

sarbar - I do a lot of ziplock cooking (too cheap to buy freezer bags) and one thing that I use that may be of interest to you is a cozy that holds the bag upright and open so that you can pour the boiling water in the bag without holding the bag and with much less risk of burns/scalding. This also makes it much easier to "put the bag into the cozy" since all I need to do is to zip up the bag and put a closed cell foam top on the cozy.

I use a outdoor faucet (boob shaped) insulater nowdays for my cozy. Takes up pack space, but in winter or fall it works very well. Marzsit has created these super ones that even have lids.
I'd bet you could get that foam at a harware store.

sarbar - its no problem with me if you want to add a link to that page but its Stove Stomper's site that you would be linking to and you might want to check with him also since its his bandwidth we are talking about

that particular foam was from a Army surplus sleeping pad approx 12 bucks for a 24 by 72 inch piece including straps to hold it rolled

I have also made them from the blue foam sleeping pads from wally world / target

You can't take your site down. I use it as a reference page when tinkering with stoves and windscreen/pot-supports.

So there!

This sounds good for some reason
Spinach Couscous:

At home in a bowl mix:

1 cup couscous

1 pkg Knorr Cream Of Spinach Soup (find in the soup aisle)

3 Tbls instant milk powder or soy milk powder

Also take one 3 oz. pouch of tuna with you per freezer bag.

In each of two quart freezer bag put half of the ingredients. Each bag gets a pouch of tuna with it.

In camp add approx 1 cup water, and stir well. Let sit for 30 minutes or so, add tuna and eat. Can also be done hot, with boiling water-add tuna before you add the boiling water.

Feeds one hiker per bag.

Just marked my two year anniversary with my man (Synchro)...We bought a house this summer..and now live in suburbia...heck the Posse loves me, because we live in a "Private Lakeside Community"...and our house is right above the lake..oh yeah!
