I haven't been posting much lately because I got promoted at work and I'm very busy being a boss...I miss the goofing off days around the office.

I'm leaving here in just a few minutes with my family and we're spending the next three days in the Smoky Mountains. We're hoping to spend a lot of time in the park and see some elk too.

“I'm slowly drinking my strawberry daqueries, so I don't end up throwing food around the kitchen as I'm preparing things, lol.

I'm making babyback ribs with Dai Day Garlic Sauce that I had my mom send me from NY. I'm also making broccoli, and potatoes dauphinoise. Those are sliced taters covered with some garlic powder, salt, pepper, shredded swiss cheese and heavy cream and a few dabs of butter.

I already had my salad w/my homemade dressing with chic peas and orange pieces in it.”

“After eating seafood intermitently from 7pm to midnight, beginning with crab/spinach appetizers in puff pastry, then shrimp cocktail and King crab and lobster served with hot garlic butter just before midnight, I feel like the New Year began beautifully..we had a glass of Asti (I still can't really drink so we opted to forgo the expensive bottle of champagne) at midnight and watched 2 Towers on the satellite until early morning...a great, safe evening..I hope we all enjoy a great year outdoors and hope to meet even more new folks this year! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!”
