oh...we normally to the right...so you drive through the entrance into the campsite, turn slight to the right onto the dirt road. Continue about 50 feet on the road, you should see the pottys to your left, to the right of the dirt rd are camp spots. that's where we was for the last 2 years. Most of us at least. Not sure if we wanna keep it this way this year?”

I am trying to free up that Friday, but at the worst case scenario, I will leave Townsend about 1 PM.”

“Cyndee there are real bathrooms at the entrance to the campground with showers. That was about 100 yards from our campsite.”

“thanks hyway, i can go about 3 days without a shower, but 4 is pushing it. plus we have to fly back sunday night. they would probably forbid us from boarding the plane.

i'll get together some type of sign incase we are the first ones there. let me know if you are still planning on staying on the above mentioned area.

“trailtalker i was going to email you today to let ya know that my son and i decided to fly up instead of hitching a ride with ya. we get into knoxville thursday am. where's grayson highlands? we'll save you a tent space. is bluegill(?) coming with you?”

“I intend to bring the Taj Mahal....10X15 with additional screened enclosure....I'm bringin' the wife, stepson and a ...DOG!”

“With all these signed up, I have no idea how we're gonna reserve enough space. I'm bringing a two person coleman tent with a big footprint and i'm bringing a friend who is sleeping in his own tent. Wish we could just reserve a field, lol”

“last year when I arrived I set up my tent, put my cooler size storage box a few feet away and spread out a tarp beind my tent. I held enough space for an army”

“I am with Dub on this. Unless you get there Thursday night or Friday early you may not have a place to camp.

Any other places to camp near by?”

“there is plenty of space onsite, but to keep together we just need to be creative. the early arrivers just need to space out their tents and gear liberally. I usually bring a couple camp chairs. We put all those up along with a couple tables we can lay quick claim to a large chunk of land”

“I should be there by 2-3pm on Friday, leaving Columbus at 8am after work, and I think it was six hours. I'll try to hog as much space as I can if there is any left when I get there.”

“Unless my wife throws a household rebellion I will be leaving after work on thursday. I'll probably arrive around midnight. I think some other folks are heading up earlier on thursday. last year crosscut got there on thursday and marked a large corner with flagging.”
