“Gemini, they can fix your blister boots. They got all kind of instruments and things that they can customize the boot with. Its worth every penny and no sense in screwing with boots that don't give you problems... IMO”

“Cottonsocks announced today she has to work this weekend. But I will be in Johnson City Thursday night, so....I should be able to get there early Friday.

According to the 6:00 news, there is a 40% chance of rain in Knoxville and I wouldn't imagine it would be drastically different for Damascus.”

“last year it started raining Saturday night and I waited a 1/2 hour or so before putting my raincoat on. 2 minutes after i put it on it stopped raining, so after a while I took it off again. 2 minutes later it started raining. That process cycled through a few more times before I gave up and just left it on :)”

So, if I go up early tomorrow, I can dump my gear on site, go back to JC (have to be there at 2230) spend about 4 hours there and then get back to Damascus in the wee hours.

Or, I could crash in JC after I am finished and arrive Damascus early Friday AM.

In any event, cottonsocks can't go, so I am feeling a little guilty about leaving her at home.”
