“mine is the commentary track. lots of really interesting info here. for example, the genesis of "fight club" was actually a backpacking trip on the pct. how about that? the best one i have heard so far was the one for "solaris", a sort of artsy-fartsy sci-fi movie by steven soderbergh. its too bad there will never be a commentary track from my favorite director, stanley kubrick. that would have been fascinating. so, how about you guys? what do u find the most indispensable? deleted scenes, making of documentaries, bios, widescreen, not having to rewind, or what?” 5:36:08 PM 1/01/05 “Yo crash bang, Mike says "tell him I say he's a peenis" last edited: 1/01/05 5:41:05 PM” 5:39:21 PM 1/01/05 “I like the way you can freeze the money shot and the screen does not flicker. Bay Baye!” 5:43:04 PM 1/01/05 “mike is asking if "bbw" means "Big Beautiful Women"” 5:43:59 PM 1/01/05 “"I like the way you can freeze the money shot and the screen does not flicker" hadnt thought of that. good one. have they actually started putting a lot of porn on dvd “mike is asking if "bbw" means "Big Beautiful Women"” its big black woman, actually “Yo crash bang, Mike says "tell him I say he's a peenis" eat my bacon ring, bumholio” 5:47:49 PM 1/01/05 “my favorite are the bloopers, too bad that they don't have them on too many DVDs. I also like the different endings.” 8:35:33 PM 1/01/05 “I don't like the "extra" scenes. Since they weren't good enough for the original release of the movie, why include them at all?” 8:41:22 PM 1/01/05 “Yeah - mostly I like the commentary, I think I've watched every possible thing on fight club, including all 4 commentaries and I never heard anything about a backpacking trip... I also enjoy alternate endings, or directors cut.” 9:32:21 PM 1/01/05 “top dawg, ive heard alot of times directors say that although they enjoyed the scene very much, it disrupted the momentum or the flow of the story, not necessarily that they werent good enough. alot of times they are character-driven, and not essential to the plot. simer, listen to the beginning of the commentary by chuck paluhniuk and the screenwriter. the part about getting into a fight with neighboring campers and coming into work the next monday” 10:02:37 PM 1/01/05 “I like the Bloopers feature.” 12:54:51 AM 1/02/05 “i like it when they put bloopers in animated flicks. the toy story 2 blooper reel was especially funny” 9:27:52 AM 1/02/05 “The "bonus" feature that came with the collectors' edition of "The Two Towers" That was classic.” 10:06:34 AM 1/02/05 “cb - but that has Tom Hanks in it, what gives? Yes, the Toy Story bloopers are really good. TS3 is coming out in '06.” 10:14:47 AM 1/02/05 “i do like the deleted scenes, but once in a while they completely go overboard with them. Way too many or way too long. I really don't care if the only thing the changed in a scene is the actor digging up his nose... bloopers and different ending, still favs. bloopers rank number 1. I could watch bloopers for hours. I think...” 1:35:25 PM 1/02/05 “"cb - but that has Tom Hanks in it, what gives?" i guess im willing to tolerate his presence since i dont have to look at his face The "bonus" feature that came with the collectors' edition of "The Two Towers" That was classic.” what bonus feature would that be?” 2:34:21 PM 1/02/05 “You didn't have to see his face in the Polar Express, though the conductor bore a striking resemblance.” 2:36:55 PM 1/02/05 “i didnt see polar express. it looked nauseating” 2:38:05 PM 1/02/05 “It was really good, but then I have 2 kids under 5. We watched it early in Dec and then again Christmas Eve.” 2:42:37 PM 1/02/05 “The Two Towers bonus feature was Gollum's "Acceptance Speech" from MTV's movie awards.” 6:09:48 PM 1/02/05 “i think i mightve seen that. its been awhile. is that on the special edition, or the special special edition? the lotr "making ofs" are out of this world and make me appreciate the films even more. i nominate the extended edition trilogy as best dvds of all time” 8:43:54 PM 1/02/05 “The Virtual Safari game on Lion King 1 1/2 was funny. I like being able to change the language though. X-Men has a French track which is a bonus. It also allowed you to put the extra scenes back into the movie, which was a good idea. The problem is that most of the extra scenes were just longer versions of scenes already in the movie so you had to sit through the scene twice. If they replaced the scenes so they didn't repeat it would be an awesome addition for those who feel the directors original, uncut version is the way to go.” 8:46:59 PM 1/02/05 “I like the A-B looping feature... **s#&%!$**” 3:23:06 AM 1/03/05
