Bag Nights For 2005

“You can count anything which you like. However, a fully enclosed structure, which is secure from the elements, seems to violate the spirit of being outdoors for qualifying as a "bag night."

Car camping to me means being able to drive to the site, such as a campground. But sleeping in a tent, under the stars or a tarp, or even in an partially open shelter, should constitute a "bag night".”

“14, but the miles from BPing are lacking. Did mostly Canoe/Boat/Car Camping Etc. Made it out for a short 16 miler last weekend over three days and may get 24 miles or so this weekend. What a sad sad sad BP year!”

“Nimblefoot - Hostel nights do not count, nor all the time with relatives in Virginia or on long bus rides. I demand a recount plus an audit. And I'll need an exact number for bagnights completed, not planned or next weekend. Miles hiked and/or skied do not get in this record, either.
