has anyone every heard ofthe paulding lights in northern micigan? I just moved to wisconsin and i was thinking about going. it sounds interesting.

Yep, I have.

What I remember is that a young man stood on the train tracks as the train came by (I don't know why he was standing there...) and he was killed by the train. Now, if you stand on the tracks, you can see the light of the train coming at you, and I've also heard that you can hear the train whistle too.

I never went to check out the lights when I was living up there. I'm too chicken. Maybe Sunshine knows more.

LOL, Ewker! If you check out the website, the story of the Paulding lights is a bit different than I recounted, though not very unique!

My wife and I vacation in Sylvania. We've never gone to check out "the light." My brother-in-law and his wife have, and have seen it.

I thought you had to find a hill on a county highway to see it.

When I heard some other tourons asking about it, one of the locals just smiled. :/
