Toide is an extra touch. It could be called dirty. Instead of just throwing an opponent, add some Toide so he does not get up.

I talk about studying aikijutsu frequently. If you would like to see some of the things that I do in my aikijutsu class, which includes Toide, tune in your TV on Thursday morning. It should be a good program

Be late to work and watch the News on WB Channel 11 and see Fukasa-Kai Toide

Dog-gone-it! My cable did not have the program. I sure hope one of my friends was able to get a video of it.

The group that put on the demonstration is a member of our parent martial arts organization. Hopefully, they will get a video available for everyone.

I was able to work on a little Toide yesterday evening. On a simple throw of an opponent, we add a leg sweep. It takes the opponent off his feet so that his landing on his back is extremely hard. Unless he knows how to fall, the opponent will not get up for a while if he lands on a hard surface. Of course, with or without the leg sweep, the opponent's arm could be broken in less that one second after the landing to end the confrontation. It is hoped that we never have to use these techniques.
