Kennedy Meadows / Sonora Pass

“I made my first trip over Sonora Pass last summer and vowed to return for exploration. Does anyone know what kind of access there is during the winter? I assume Kennedy Meadows is accessible, but how far up do they usually plow the road?

I'm considering a couple days of snowshoeing in 2 weeks.

“Rob, the road is plowed to the Sno-park lot about 8 miles beyond Strawberry, leaving a lot of mileage to Kennedy Meadows. I believe that Dardanelles Resort operates on a limited basis in the winter with snow-mobile access.”
