This is funny, but the intent is political, thus the Fuego.

You bought FROZEN dough? I thought you were an Italian? I'm your run of the mill Anglo-Cracker and I would dream of using frozen. LOL!

If i REALLY make my own pizza, it gots to be your own secret dough recipe..no frozen dough crap.

Got to agree, the dough is what makes the homemade pizza a homemade pizza. it's all in the dough...

I wish I could safe the flash animation onto my computer. Yupp, it was funny, and yupp this could be our future. That's pretty scary. I am just waiting until we all get a microchip inplanted at birth.

IMHO the sauce makes or breaks a pizza. Dough is more about texture but sauce is about taste. I like mine with extra basil and a bit sugar.

I used to make pizza every week as part of my menu rotation.
The kids were little and I was not yet over the hill, as I am now.
I don't have the energy to go through the process, maybe on a weekend now and then.

The bread is a basic focaccia recipe with extra virgin in it.

My sauce has lots of garlic and fresh basil and extra virgin oil.
(and then there's the secret ingredient......hoohoohahahahahahahahahah!!!!)

make garlic sauce as the base instead of some type of tomato base

MarkO, garlic sauce as the base on a pizza is great. Try it one time.

I've done it without tomato.....with all kinds of stuff on it.

If you use extra virgin olive often enough, you can get your virginity back. Every extra virgin counters one "act."

I used to make my own dough, then I started buying the dough right from the pizza place, then I found Rhodes Bread Dough (frozen) and it comes out just as good. You can also get dough from a bakery and ask for semolina if you want.

The sauce is also the trick to a good pizza. I would never buy pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce. It's against my religion:) The thing is if you make pizza often enough, make a pot of sauce enough for a few pizzas and freeze separate container of sauce, then all you have to do is roll out dough.

I used to buy pizza dough from the pizzeria for about $1.50 many years ago in NY. Rhodes Bread Dough has five frozen loaves in a package for about $3.+ in my cheap grocery store (non union). It tells you how to use it for making pizza. It's simple.

I assume you use the Italian Bread dough Lips?

BTW: You can also use a bread maker to prepare pizza dough.

I was giving ya hard time! LOL! I actually find in a pinch the Boboli bread crusts are pretty good. They are also good for taking backpacking.
