Ipod is an extended warranty business not a MP3 builder. Get namo, lack of moving parts.

It's like Starbucks -at the end of their road.

I got myself and my wife 1 GB sandisk clips for Christmas. $35 and they hold over 200 sings. The 2 GB runs for about $60 to $70. Very easy to use and load songs and super small. Earphones suck though.

I found an awesome little add-on for iTunes. iConcertCal. When you go under VIEW> VISUALIZER> iConcertCal then turn on the visualizer it brings up a calendar. The program goes through every artist in your library and pulls from a data base info on the artists. It then checks your ip addie to see where you are and it will bring up on the calendar any concerts or album leases for all the artists in your library.

The wife got me a 2GB iPod Shuffle for sweetest's day. I tried to find a 2nd gen one but settled for the new one. The ear buds are better than the old ones but still leave a lot to be desired. I just need to figure out how to get the damn music in order and to stay in order.

I though the iPod shuffel can only shuffel songs?

One question: how long does the batterie last when fully charged?

There is a setting on the shuffle that allows you to shuffle or play in order. The problem is when I load the music on to it the songs go all out of order. WTF? I'm not sure about the battery life but I imagine it's pretty long. The one thing I don't like about it, and the reason I wanted one of the old ones is the fact the controls are on the cord of the ear buds. iPod ear buds suck ass and I can't use my good ones because they don't have controls on them. These ear buds are better than the older ones though so I can live with them.

I am happy with the iPod nano I bought earlier this year. Only the head phones weren't too exciting. A friend recommended me a set of earbuds, which were pretty cheap, but have a great sound.

I just got an ipod nano as a gift. It came with no instructions. Any advice on how/here to learn how to use it? Unfortunately all the indicators on the screen are in Russian (or some Eastern European language).

OK - I reset the language when I synched the ipod. I guess I'm OK.

LOL! You mean I have no left?

I am feeling stone aged - all discombobulated over this tiny new-fangled de-vice. Next up, I may be getting a flat screen TV - a whole new world of learning for me. My old style picture tube TV (purchased in 1996) was wrecked, so I've actually had to start thinking about 21st century television technology.

Be glad you didn't upgrade 4 years ago.. we remodeled our house four years ago and I bought a flatscreen tv. Now they cost just about 25% what I paid for a comparable device. We only own 1 tv..

Yes! I was relieved to see how much cheaper they are than I thought.

Happily I got a couple hundred dollars toward the new TV. My TV was monitored for two years by a rating service. It had some structural damage from being moved a bunch of times - but worked perfectly and had a great picture. When the folks came to remove the devices the TV fell apart. They offered ne 50 dollars, but I insisted on more. It probably wasn't worth 50 dollars to anyone else - but it worked probalme free and the cost to replace it with anything that would give me the same size image of equivalent quality was much higher.
