Backpacking Pennsylvania- 37 Great Hikes
Well, almost. It'll be in stores in a few weeks. It is already listed on amazon.com, walmart.com, and barnesandnoble.com.

This one took a lot of work and it's good to see it's done. It offers overview descriptions to all of PA's trails; trails that are mostly on roads have abbreviated descriptions. The book also includes length, difficulty, terrain, water, highlights, contact info, vegetation, and directions.

PA has the most extensive system of backpacking trails east of the Rockies. So much to choose from, and lots of hidden gems.

Thanks to Pennsy, Bobo and Richb for being on the cover!

tango,

it was never supposed to be 40 hikes, that was a prior mistake. the book covers 37 individual trails, not including sub-trail systems and connector trails, which takes the total to 46 trails.

yeah, the cover can be posted.

A few bucks cheaper than Barnes and Noble too.

Jeff, I don't get around that much to author a book about trail guides, so I'll leave that to you. 200,000 miles on your car is just one example of the effort it takes to complete a project of this scope.
