Sorry guys. Just got my schedule. I was supposed to be in a trial all day (with a lunch break). Just got a call a few minutes ago that they will not be needing my services tomorrow after all.

So......since it's going to be hot and sticky tomorrow, I'm going to the water park with my boys. Sorry, but even lunch with fellow backpackers isn't better than water on a hot day.

Johhny Carson: "It so hot . . . . "
Ed McMahon: "How hot is it?"

Johhny: "It's so hot the senior citizens are only wearing one sweater."

If I am the only one going, then I am going to go to the CB nearer me (Jackson and Michigan) I'll be there at one PM if anyone wants to stop by.

Actually for now until at least November I'm up in Park Ridge. After that the construction market tells me where to go. Who knows, I may end up back in downtown Chicago.

No, unfortunately I hardly ever get that far down. The nearest I get is Niles area. I do also get down to Orland Park every now and again so South side lunches are always a possibility for me.

I'm making a HUGE pot of tomato sauce w/a pork roast, roast beef and meatloaf in it. It will all take hours to cook, so it will unfortunately not be lunch, but dinner. The sauce will cook about 2-1/2 hours and the meat will be fork tender, no knife needed. The pork and meatloaf come out first since they cook quicker.

I'll either make home made fettucine or ravioli depending on how burnt out I am after all the cooking and then putting the sauce away in containers in the freezer.

I did finally make those homemade ravioli and they came out great and weren't too hard to make. It's not lunch time yet, but when I got up I just had to have a few. The sauce came out excellent too.

Sauce making is a big project, and I make a huge pot which I haven't in a very long time, so the sauce is like gold to me.

um, I ate them all! I had a few ravioli for breakfast, a few for lunch and a few for dinner:)

If I lived in NY, I could just walk up the street from my mom's house to buy them there since they make them fresh with fresh pasta.

In WA, they put odd things in what they all fresh ravioli like breadcrumbs and odd cheeses. People who never lived in NY and/or never went into a real pasta store will never know what a real ravioli is like. They think it's Chef Boy R Dee!
