Bizarre Trends In Advertising

“does anybody else see these billboards ADVERTISING emergency rooms? saying things like "tell them take me to howard community" or whatever. i mean, isnt that ludicrous? youve just had a heart attack, a stroke, been in a serious car crash (bang), you got shot by yo baby-mama, whatever, and youre gonna stop and think which ER to go to? TAKE ME TO THE NEAREST ONE, FOOL! I guess this might have some relevance to that .01 percent of the population that is perfectly mid-way between the two nearest hospitals. do people actually look up at the guy holding their guts in with his hand and say in a strained voice "look, i know we're enroute to st mercy, but...." me, im thinkin, well that money they just spent on advertisin couldve bought another respirator and shock paddles to keep my ass alive so i can play slap and tickle with the nurses for another 3 days til i die, so lemme go where their morphine budget is bigger than their advert budget

and whats with this "only in theaters" after every promo for a new movie? and its not occasionally. its after every movie, obsessively. so you know they HAVE to. some fool sued. saw the new martin lawrence movie promo, thought it was coming out on upn (thats what i would think anyway. if anybodys a direct to cable kind of talent, its martin lawrence), and sued the damn tv company for mental anguish when it didnt come out, and blammo! we gotta tell ya go check the movie theater, cuz ya cant rent it, ya cant watch it on the couch, you gots to go outside yo house and meet some people!
