I'm sure there is some good being done somewhere, I guess it depends on how you look at 'good being done'. I look at standard of living, costs, and body counts. The standard of living, on net, for Iraqis has decreased between 10% to 90% since the U.S. invasion, and that is BELOW an already horrific living standard from the sanctions. It is a fact that the highest living standard the Iraqis experienced was in 86-90 time-frame pre-war '91. They had universal healthcare, pretty much everything. Not to happy with Saddam, but there hasn't been much about his leadership that hasn't been exaggerated by Jr., and lots of Iraqis LOVED the guy.

Even our 'puppets' who should be living like fat hogs can't leave their houses or have their names made public or they get shot.

Oh they're making lots of people rich at UDI. UDI would be bankrupt without the blood of the Iraqis and the blood of the soldiers to splatter all over the place. And Exxon / Houston will definitely be happy if they are ever successful in killing off the Democracy activists in Iraq.

Actually Exxon's earnings have been all time records last 2 years, so Exxon is happy now because oil prices or so high. They are printing money.

On 'evil' see above. Never said he is 'as bad as Hitler'. Jr.'s body count is at about 100,000 dead innocent people. Hitler's is somewhere around 3-7 million.

So, in terms of body counts Jr. is about 2-5% as bad as Hitler, and he has adopted 3/4ths of Hitler's political tactics (see http://www.hitler.org/speeches for example speeches, it's almost like Jr. plagiarized some of them).

Now... if you adjust on a per-year basis, Jr.'s "Hitler equivalance" in terms of bodies per year at this stage is probably 20-30% of Hitler as Hitler's body counts are over a period of 15 years.

We are definitely killing more people now than we did in Vietnam, and after 10 years in Vietnam we killed 2 million innocent Vietnamese farmers (who never did a damn thing to us... the Sec. Def then McNamara said in his book that the Golf of Tonkin attack... the excuse to scale up... never even happened).

So, after 10 years of occupation, I think Jr. will get to a 70% or so body-count Hitler equivalence, only I don't believe they'll put up with it for 10 years, they'll go domestic attacks before then.

We don't know how bad Abu Ghraib (and the six other prisons) was. They are refusing to release the 1800 photos and videos. There supposedly is a dozen or more FOIA requests on the photos / videos.

What we've seen from Abu Ghraib publicly is not even close to the worst.

WP reported there is a live video in there of a U.S. soldier raping a 10 year old Iraqi boy live audio and all with the boy doing blood-curdling screams.

Oh yeah, as to the Hitler comparison...

There is one way Jr. isn't like Hitler.

Hitler turned a profit while he was in power.

Jr.'s been playing the race card for at least a year. When he went in to Fallujah (Sunni) he used Kurdish troops who are racist (for lack of a better word) against Sunni.

That strategy obviously gets clueless Bush-lackey's excited at the thought of poor people killing poor people and being goaded like chicken fights by the U.S.

However, the latest CIA analyst says, that strategy is basically guaranteed to create an endless civil war, and not the "no one left standing" thing the numnutz dream of.

And during it... the biggest problem.... no or very little pumping of the oil out during the civil war.”
